Small group 4WD Pinnacles Desert & Sand Boarding Adventure

Take the opportunity to grab a photo of this iconic Perth structure before departing at 6:45am. An early start ensures we maximise the day and beat the heat (and the crowds) to explore the Pinnacles before the WA sun gets too hot.

It’s a scenic drive North out of Perth as we head straight into the heart of Nambung National Park. Our 4WD capabilities will take you off the beaten track and right into the Pinnacles Desert where we’ll explore the 4.5km driving trail. You'll then get the opportunity to roam at your own pace and walk among thousands of surreal limestone formations that rise dramatically from the golden sand.

Visit the Pinnacles Discovery Centre to learn about the geology of the Pinnacle formations and the cultural and natural heritage values of the area. Stop by the gift store for some quirky and interesting souvenirs.

Our journey continues on, taking us to the Lake Thetis Stromatolites. These ancient rock like structures are formed by microbial communities and are among the earliest signs of life on Earth, dating back over 3.5 billion years. As you stroll along the easy boardwalk trail, you’ll get a close up look at these living fossils and find out what makes them so special.

Next it’s time to find a relaxing spot for morning tea, depending on the day’s weather and local conditions, we’ll choose one of the region’s beautiful secluded beaches to park up on. Cara will organise hot tea or coffee, you can enjoy a biscuit or two while you take in the sights and sounds of the beach around you. You’re welcome to grab a deck chair, dip your toes in the water, take a stroll along the sandy beach, or simply unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The Lobster Shack is "small town famous" and well known for it's fresh seafood and lobster meals which you can enjoy while overlooking the Indian Ocean. (Lunch is at the guests expense) Choose from extravagant Lobster platters, buckets of prawns, Australian oysters or a selection of smaller bite sized treats. Seafood alternative meals are available as well as gluten free and vegetarian options. Choose a seaside cocktail or mocktail. Local and international bears and wines are on offer, or try the Lobster Lager and complete the full experience.

In the afternoon, we head south to the vast white sands of the Lancelin Dunes, where you can choose your adventure. Grab a sand board and ride the dunes, or kick back and take in the stunning views of endless sand meeting sea and sky.

Sundowners - A Perfect finish before returning to Perth. We'll find the perfect spot to enjoy a laid-back Aussie sundowner. Sink into a deck chair with your drink of choice, either a chilled local beer, gin & tonic with WA botanicals, or a fresh Australian orange juice. After a day of discovery Cara will get you back to Perth just after 5pm, giving you plenty of time to head out and enjoy Perth City for the evening.
