Itinerary

120 min

Join us on tour for a day exploring some of the West Coast’s most stunning natural regions. Leave behind city life for a one-day treat to some of Western Australia’s best natural wonders.

60 min

After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop to stretch our legs and take in the views from Guilderton Lookout, replacing the Lancelin stop due to its temporary closure. This stunning viewpoint offers panoramic views of the vast sand dunes, which are part of the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. The gigantic, snow-white dunes create a striking contrast against the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. The lookout is accessed by 83 steps (15 more than Lancelin) and takes approximately 7 minutes to walk up. With toilets and a cafe available at the carpark, this stop will not affect the overall length of the tour, as the timing remains the same.

Admission included45 min

Shake the sand out of your shoes, before we travel on to the Nilgen Nature Reserve. In a region abundant with flora and fauna, we’ll wander through a kaleidoscopic of wildflowers, including the likes of banksias, bottlebrush, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws; all bursting with life, when in season.

45 min

If the flowers are in hiding, we’ll instead head over to Hangover Bay, where you can dip your toes in the crystal-clear waters or spot the likes of bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.

Admission included45 min

With our lungs full of fresh sea air, it’s time to journey on to the Nambung National Park to witness the remarkable Pinnacles desert at sunset. Made up of shells, the Pinnacles date back millions of years to a time when the land was beneath the sea. Best explored at dusk when the crowds evaporate and the thousands of limestone pillars rise eerily out of the desert; watch the colours change over the rocks, creating a lunar-like atmosphere.

Admission included120 min

Enjoy a Picnic dinner accompanied by a glass of local product wine (all included), while we settle in for a spectacular light show of natural wonder, beneath the sky. As the darkness sets, it’s time to marvel at the other-worldly beauty of the stars and planets, swirling high above. Listen to the ancient stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and gaze light-years away.

30 min

On the way home to Perth, we will stop and take in the wonders of the night sky.

Really great spot - Pinnacles

Wonderful guide. Bus was clean and comfortable. Disappointing to see all the other tour buses having their dinner set up by the pinnacles on the sand where as we were near the carpark (maybe something to improve). We were left to go wondering without a map or much instruction so 3/4 of the tour got lost and many asked the other tours guides operators at the pinnacles where to go. Not much commentary on the longer stretch or drive so the drive while peaceful was a bit underwhelming. Overall though it was a unique adventure and the pinnacles where amazing.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We're glad you found the guide wonderful and enjoyed the comfort of the bus, and we're happy you experienced the amazing pinnacles. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment regarding the dinner setup and the lack of instructions and commentary during the longer stretch. Your suggestions about improving signage and providing more guidance are valuable, and we will consider them to enhance future tours. Despite the issues, we're pleased you found the adventure unique and the pinnacles breathtaking. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to provide an even better experience next time.

Tour a little disturb by...

Tour a little disturb by the rain but Annalise managed to work past the weather to explain all possible on Pinnacles desert and find us a place for the stargazing on the road.

Her dedication to providing a memorable experience-explaining everything about the Pinnacles Desert and finding a great spot for stargazing-really shows her commitment. We hope the rest of the trip was just as memorable and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Pinnacles Tour

Even though it was quite cloudy, we still witnessed an amazing sunset over the horizon, and also kangaroos in the pinnacles. We also saw quite abit of wildlife at guilderton! Our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about the environment and constellations. She even told us stories about the constellations. The tour came with dinner which filled our tummies after a long walk around the pinnacles. We somewhat saw venus, jupiter and the moon for a minute before it got cloudy while having dinner. Overall, it was a unique experience! I recommend booking this event with the weather in mind, and if your schedule is flexible, u can always call the operator for a change of date prior to your booking date if the forecast will be cloudy.

Operator response

Thanks for sharing your experience! 😊 We're so glad you got to enjoy the sunset, spot some kangaroos and wildlife, and learn about the stars from your guide. Even with the cloudy weather, it sounds like you made the most of the evening. Thanks for the helpful tip for future travellers, and we hope to see you again for another adventure! ✨🦘🌅

Loving the Pinnacles!

Wow! This tour was so worth the time and money. A truly unique experience. Beautiful vistas not only at The Pinnacles but throughout the tour. And the Pinnacles were like nothing I’ve seen before and I’ve been to Bryce Canyon, Arches NP, the Grand Canyon and the Badlands in the USA. The Pinnacles dispel any myth that deserts are featureless, lifeless and/or empty. It was just beautiful, especially at sunset. And I have never seen stars like that before. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this tour. And our guide Alexia was a sweetheart!

Operator response

Thank you so much for your incredible feedback! We're delighted to hear that you found the tour truly worthwhile and enjoyed the unique vistas at The Pinnacles and beyond. It's fantastic that the Pinnacles left such a lasting impression, especially at sunset and under those amazing stars — it sounds like an unforgettable experience. We're also happy to hear Alexia made your trip extra special. Your high recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to see you again for more unforgettable adventures!

Perfect tour guide, imperfect weather

Annaliese was an amazing and patient tour guide. She was driven and fun to listen and follow. Unfortunately the weather was the only thing bad as the clouds covered quite a bit of the stars we could’ve seen but that is out of the guide’s control. The dinner was simple but refreshing and lovely. Definitely recommend to all who wish to view more of Western Australia’s beauty.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback! We're delighted to hear that Annaliese provided an engaging and enjoyable experience despite the weather challenges. We agree-she truly is an amazing and dedicated guide. We're also glad you enjoyed the dinner and found the tour a great way to explore Western Australia’s beauty. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more memorable adventures!

Good but some disappointment

Trip was good, great to see the Pinnacles and the desert at night. It was beautifully clear so the stars were amazing. However, the trip description did not quite match the reality of the journey. Gilderton was, according to itinerary, an hour's stop. We were there for a very rushed 30mins. Although we were shown the constellations and there was some information given about the stars, there were no dream time stories told. This was specified in the itinerary description.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed seeing the Pinnacles, the desert at night, and the clear stars. However, we apologize for the discrepancy between the trip description and the actual experience, especially regarding the stop in Geraldton and the storytelling aspect. Your comments are valuable and will be used to improve our accuracy in the itinerary and the overall experience. We appreciate your honesty and hope to provide a more aligned experience in the future.

Disappointing trip, quick stops along the way The tour guide had limited experience and offered little local knowledge Disappointing with the star gazing, the sky was clouded over only visualised the moon, when the sky cleared there was no opportunity to gaze

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your trip did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the quick stops, the guide’s experience, and the star gazing experience. Your input is valuable to us and will help us improve. We apologize for the weather conditions that affected the star gazing and appreciate your honesty.

Pinnacles at Sunset

This trip is a must. The pinnacles at sunset were amazing and we were lucky to have a clear night for the stargazing. Analise (guide) and Amanda (driver) looked after us very well. Only part that was a bit disappointing was the stop at Nilgen Nature Reserve. There wasn’t much to see and it seemed a bit pointless to stop there, however that might have been down to the time of year I went (late April). The evening buffet meal was simple but tasty with a selection of meats and salads. We even had bubbles or choice of orange juice to wash it down with, as well as strawberries and chocolate biscuits for a dessert.

Operator response

Thank you for joining our Pinnacles Sunset & Stargazing Dinner Tour! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the magical sunset, clear night skies, and the care from Analise and Amanda. Your feedback on the stops is appreciated, and we’re glad the dinner added a tasty finish to a wonderful evening
