Lovely place with magnificent views, we thought we would but able to chose our cocktail but they were just brought to the table with no discussion
Cocktails and pizzas lovely. View's stunning, no rush. Lovely setting. I would visit again.
The Olivia Star is located a bit away from Gdansk in a business district in the tallest building in the city. One takes the elevator to the 32nd floor to the Olivia Star restaurant. Up there, everything is very clean and well-maintained, just like in the entire large building. Additionally, there is a platform with a view of Gdansk and the Baltic Sea. From every table, there is a good view of Gdansk. Only the service was a disaster. We sat there for ages and we were not attended to at all. I then went to a staff member and asked for the menu. It was exactly the same when our dishes were brought out. Actually, the drinks should come first, but I also had to remind the staff member about those. She had apparently completely forgotten them 🤦♀️ What also bothered me was that in such a restaurant, drinks are served in cans... The food was good and delicious 😋. The price-performance ratio is also right. Only the service needs urgent improvement. Recommendation
Great views, good food and drinks. But staff kind of left us unattended and we had to repeatedly ask for our orders be taken.
A nice experience. A bit out of the way of Gdansk old town, definitely a taxi ride. Service very slow. Booked through Trip Advisor for a cocktail each. This was a Hugo Spritz but tasted to me more like a mojito. We stayed and had another cocktail and these were good. Views are amazing. Would recommend going before sunset so you can see it in daylight and then all lit up after the sun goes down. There was a live singer on whilst we were there which gave a nice atmosphere.
Upon arrival both our party of 6 and another large party were not greeted and in fact ignored. Service was frosty. Drinks were good and the pizza tasty.
Arrived 5pm was directed to 2nd reception, advised to take lift to 32nd floor, twas foggy but could see city lights below, I'm terrified of heights 😳 but loved this! Glass prosecco on arrival and cocktail with menu! Pizza is delicious 😋 viwes amazing 👏 staff very friendly
No atmosphere. Was thick snow tho. Service very slow even though place wasnt busy at all to be honest
Above beautiful view below a garden with exotic plants where you can drink cocktails in a cozy atmosphere.
Extremely disappointing experience at Olivien Star in Gdańsk — definitely not what one expects from a Michelin-starred restaurant. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM, but there was no one at the entrance to greet us. After waiting, we were first seated next to the children’s play area, then moved several times to different tables, including one that was still dirty. Our appetizers took over 30 minutes, the drinks came without ice or lemon, and the main courses arrived before we even finished the starters. We ordered the baked salmon (the most expensive dish on the menu), but it was cold and tasteless. We told the staff we hadn’t finished our starters and didn’t want our mains to get cold — yet they still served everything with no coordination. We barely ate and clearly expressed our dissatisfaction, but instead of adjusting the bill, they offered us a free alcoholic drink, even though we said we don’t drink. We’ve dined at Michelin restaurants all over the world, and this was by far the worst experience. Poor service, no attention to detail, and food quality far below Michelin standards. Everything was documented, and we’ve already filed a formal complaint. Note that on the menu it’s said ”saffran sauce, and crispy crust” and as you can see in the picture there was either crispy crust or saffran sauce. We have written to them on email to get a refund or something back for the food we did even finish because of their unprofessionalism. Would absolutely not recommend.
