This was our first visit to Gdansk, and the tour gave us a good general introduction to the city. The Old Town was easy to walk and visually impressive. The guide provided useful context, though the experience felt more like a highlights tour than a detailed historical explanation. It’s a solid choice for cruise passengers who want a simple, organized overview without stress.
We joined this Gdansk tour as a family of four during our cruise stop. The pickup from the port was well organized, and it was easy to find our guide. The walk through the Old Town was the highlight for us. The colorful buildings and riverside views made it enjoyable even for the kids. The guide shared interesting points about the city’s history, though in a simple way that was easy to follow. The pace was steady, not rushed, although a bit more free time would have been helpful for browsing shops or grabbing a snack. Overall, it was a comfortable family-friendly introduction to Gdansk.
The tour with Sebastian a fantastic experience. She shared so much interesting information about Gdansk and gave us a great overview of Moldova in a really engaging way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. Thank you, Sebastian, you were amazing!
We were a group of friends arriving by cruise and decided to join this Gdansk tour. The logistics were smooth, and everything ran on time. The Old Town was surprisingly beautiful, with well-restored buildings and a relaxed atmosphere. We especially enjoyed walking along the river and stopping for photos. It’s not a very detailed historical deep dive, but more of a pleasant overview. For a short port stop, it worked well for us as a group.
As a solo traveler, I found this tour very convenient and well-structured. The port pickup and return were simple, which made the whole experience stress-free. The walking route through the Old Town was easy to follow, and I felt comfortable exploring on my own within the group. The guide provided helpful background information without overwhelming detail. It’s a good option if you want a safe and organized introduction to Gdansk in a limited time.
Sebastian gave us a lovely tour of Gdansk. The walking pace was perfect for our group. We could have used a little more free time at the end in Gdansk in order to actually enjoy lunch and shopping.
That Sebastian was well organised in his preparation was shown with his clear explanations to the 21 participants in our group of what we could expect to see and also, continually, our progress at every step of the way. He spoke English very well, was knowledgeable about every place we visited and responded comprehensively and considerately to questions. He engendered a congenial atmosphere amongst us. The 30km drive from Gdynia to Gdansk was broken by a visit to an enchanting organ concert in the impressive Oliwska Cathedral. Once in Gdansk Sebastian showed us, amongst other things, the old city gates, a previous prison, the largest brick church in the world and a 4-tonne wooden crane that was used to load grain ships in the port from 1367. He then introduced us to the Old Town, which contained many beautiful and interesting buildings that had been re-built authentically after their complete destruction during World War II. I enjoyed this tour very much and thoroughly recommend Sebastian’s guide skills.
Most of the tour was good but we were supposed to have an hour in Old Gdansk and we only had a bit over a half hour - not enough to see much of anything.
Thank you for your kind words about our tour. As for timing please note that the additional section of this tour description clearly states the following : “Please note that the sequence of the tour itinerary and the time spent at each location might be adjusted in response to variables like traffic conditions, crowd sizes, and unforeseen events. However, we will our best to cover all the sites mentioned in the itinerary.” Booking with Viator further we highly recommend paying some more attention to tour description. Wishing you safe and happy travels
