Explore at your own pace with a flexible itinerary and local guide. You'll visit Pena Palace, Sintra Old Town, Cabo da Roca and Cascais' beautifully rugged coastline and charming city. Throughout the day, we'll visit some must-see tourist sites, while also sneaking in local, off-the-beaten-path gems. This tour can be customised to suit your personal preferences.

Itinerary
You will start your day with a visit to the charmingly colourful Pena Palace and Park, considered today one of the world's major expressions of 19th-century romanticism. We'll then guide you through the amazing terraces, architecture and history of Pena Palace. For us, the most beautiful is the outdoors, but you will have free time to visit the interior of the palace if you wish.
Around lunchtime, we will stop at the Sintra Historical Centre, close to the medieval Sintra Royal Town Palace. Here you'll find the famous local pastry - Travesseiros. You can't skip it! You’ll have free time to explore and eat a quick snack or lunch.
We'll then make our way to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, driving by Sintra / Cascais Nature Park. You'll have free time to explore and admire the stunning views over the Atlantic.
We'll drive along the "Lisbon Riviera" and stop at the charming Guincho Beach, a paradise for surfers and windsurfers.
The "cherry on top" is the drive along the "Lisbon Riviera," stopping at Cascais Fortress, from which you'll have a panoramic view of the famous Cascais Bay.

Important Information
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller

- Be mindful that Sintra is a mountain and some sites require a reasonable amount of walking up and downhill, including stairs
- Sintra has a microclimate, and it is usually colder than Lisbon. Please bring appropriate clothing. Bring comfortable shoes.
- As this is a private tour, it can be customized to your preferences. You may choose to skip Cascais and instead visit one or two additional monuments in Sintra, like Quinta da Regaleira or National Sintra Palace.
- Monument tickets require a time slot. Once your reservation is made, we will contact you and send a link to purchase the tickets. Alternatively, we can purchase the tickets on your behalf, and you can reimburse us on the day of the tour. Please note that last-minute bookings may lead to ticket shortages

Holy man! This trip was a highlight of our time in Portugal! The personal tour guide Diogo was so friendly, kind and made the day so wonderful. He was a wealth of knowledge and so funny too. If you are headed towards Lisbon you need to make this a part of your adventure.. highly recommend asking for Diogo as he completed our trip :)
