Pam is a very knowledgeable, interesting and personable guide who provided both historical and current details about Singapore. We saw St Andrew's Cathedral, the National Gallery Singapore (in the former Town Hall and Supreme Court Building) and were delighted in the spectacular views of the Padang and Marina Bay from Level 5. Next was Merlion Park where we caught a boat from Marina Bay to see the many beautiful sights along the expansive waterfront and the Singapore River. We caught a bus to Pinnacles @ Duxton, where Pam informed us of how the public housing system works. We then walked to Maxwell Food Centre, for Hainanese chicken rice, and a sugarcane juice. Pam also introduced us to Asian donuts; all three were delicious. To conclude our tour, we enjoyed a traditional Chinese tea appreciation at the Tea Chapter (where Queen Elizabeth ll had also done the same). Highly recommend this tour.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with Pam and appreciated her insights into Singapore’s history and culture. It’s wonderful that you experienced a great mix of highlights—from St Andrew's Cathedral and the National Gallery Singapore to Merlion Park, The Pinnacle@Duxton and Maxwell Food Centre. The food and tea experience at Tea Chapter sound like a perfect way to end the tour. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in the future.
We really enjoyed this walking and boat tour. Gee Soo was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about Singapore and he took good care of us during the tour. If he's your guide, you're in good hands! We wanted to get an overview of Singapore history and culture, and this tour was perfect for that. We learned a lot from Gee Soo, and we got to see Singapore at both sea level and 50 stories in the air!
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re glad you had a great time on the walking and boat tour with Gee Soo. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed learning about Singapore’s history and culture while seeing the city from both the water and above! Gee Soo will be happy to know you felt well taken care of. Hope to see you again soon! 😊
Did a great walking tour with Gene D’Castro from Hello Tours including boat ride & city bus. He was very knowledgeable on Singapore history and even recapped our tour when we finished up at the Tea Rooms in Chinatown. Very friendly, personable guide with a sense of humour which made our afternoon most enjoyable.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! We’re delighted to hear you had such an enjoyable experience with Gene. He truly has a wonderful way of bringing Singapore’s history to life, and we’re glad his knowledge and sense of humour made your afternoon memorable. We’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to him—it will mean a lot. We hope to welcome you again on another tour soon! 😊
This was a truly magical experience. We try to do a walking first when we arrive at any new city and this tour exceeded all expectations. We were fully orientated as a result of this experience. Pam was our guide and she was knowledgeable, funny, approachable and so enthusiastic about Singapore and the tour experience that she was offering. She really cared that the tour was a success for us. We visited places we would never have found on our own. Tried food we would never have been brave enough to without an experienced local to show us the best places. Our itinerary was “We started the tour at City Hall MRT Station. We made a brief stop at St Andrew's Cathedral. Next up was the National Gallery Singapore, where you had the million-dollar view while I gave a quick rundown of our history. We walked to Merlion Park and sailed away from Marina Bay into the Singapore River. Next, we took a bus to Pinnacles @ Duxton, where you learned about how our public housing system works, and we enjoyed the view of the city from above. Then we journeyed to Maxwell Food Centre, where you had fried rice, sugarcane juice and also my childhood snack. Lastly, we enjoyed the traditional Chinese tea appreciation at the Tea Chapter.“ Pam took a few photos of us as we toured and was good enough to take the time to share them after the visit. We learned so much about the key sights, the history, the culture and the people of Singapore past and present. We got to experience walking around the best places, a boat trip and a bus journey all in the capable hands of a fantastic local guide. Really cannot praise this tour highly enough. And the street food and tea ceremony were both excellent (and I don’t like tea usually)! Start your Singapore experience the best way and book this tour!
Had a great tour with Pamela. We learned a lot about the culture and life in Singapore. We covered a lot of territory and had some wonderful experiences as part of the tour. Highly recommend Pamela for the tour.
Our tour guide Kavin truly made this tour so memorable and exciting. We had an incredible experience and the long tour really felt like it flew by just because there was always something to look at and learn. We had so many questions and Kavin was able to answer all of them, as well as learn about us and how Singapore compared. It was an overall amazing experience and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. The only regret is that we didn't schedule it on our first day in the city as it was a great introduction to Singapore. Thanks Kavin!
A great time! Kavin is knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. We got a local’s presentation of the city’s history and present. The dinner and tea service were engaging and new to us. Highly recommended. Time well spent.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! It’s great to know that Kavin’s knowledge, engaging storytelling, and warm hospitality made your experience both enjoyable and insightful. Thank you for the recommendation and for spending your time with us. We hope to welcome you back again on your next visit to Singapore!
Pamela conducted an excellent tour. She struck the right balance of history, social context and current day events. We walked a lot, learned a lot and had a great time. I would do this tour again and would highly recommend that everyone do it while in Singapore.
Our history and culture walking tour was excellent. Pamela was our guide, and she was fun, knowledgeable, and very helpful with every topic. We had no trouble with the amount of walking, because Pam kept the pace just right. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights, the historical/cultural narrative, and the food. Topping off the evening was a lovely and interesting tea ceremony!
My wife and I did the 4.5 hour small group history and culture tour with river cruise, dinner and tea ceremony experience with Kavin as our guide and we had such an awesome time with him. He was very friendly and also catered to our needs. He provided us handheld fans as it was a bit hot and gave us plenty of opportunities for refilling our water bottles (or purchasing them if we didn't have one) and toilet breaks. Not only was he very informative but he was also interested in what we had to say. At the end of the tour he made sure that we all got back to where we needed to go. This experience is definitely worth having a go and if you're lucky enough to have Kavin as your guide you're gonna have a great time.
