We had a wonderful experience with Nail our Argentine guide (I forgave her for Argentina knocking England out of the World Cup the night before). She was very friendly, explained everything very clearly, went above and beyond to help reassure me regarding my two teen daughters, and was just such a lovely person. Highly recommend the activity overall. The only downside was that we did have to wait quite a while in all our gear, due to a large amount of participants arriving late from their bus from Reykjavik. But overall, positive experience from gearing up, receiving instructions, doing the dive, and then getting hot chocolate and warming up at the end. I had to pee so badly as soon as we were done and she helped me get out of my gear extremely quickly so I could go to the bathroom. FYI: there are bathrooms close by yay! And you can bring personal items, they'll store it in a dry bag at the parking lot during your swim. Love the free photos too! Such a nice touch.
Isra was a great guide. Managed to convince the doubting.
We chose Arctic Adventures for our Silfra snorkeling tour because we trusted the company and wanted to feel safe and supported during such a unique experience. Sadly, our experience with our guide, Nico, was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, we felt completely excluded. While Nic was warm, friendly, and attentive towards the other members of the group, he barely interacted with us. He spent time talking with the others, explaining things to them, and making sure they were comfortable, but we did not receive the same treatment. The difference in how we were treated was impossible to ignore and made us feel unwelcome throughout the entire tour. As nervous first-time snorkelers, we were hoping for reassurance and guidance. Instead, we felt completely left on our own. During the snorkel, I was anxious the entire time because I did not feel confident that our guide would be there if something went wrong. Rather than feeling supported and safe, I felt abandoned and worried throughout the experience. This took away from what should have been an exciting and enjoyable activity. After getting out of the water, I felt dizzy and unwell, but our guide was nowhere near us. At a moment when I felt I needed support, there was no sign of him. When it came time to remove and return the equipment, his attitude towards me was dismissive and rude, which only added to our disappointment. The most upsetting part was the clear contrast between how we were treated and how the other three members of the group were treated. They received friendly conversations, attention, explanations, and encouragement throughout the tour. Meanwhile, we felt ignored from start to finish. The difference was so obvious that it left us questioning why we were not shown the same level of respect, kindness, and attention as everyone else. Silfra itself is absolutely breathtaking and was the highlight of our trip to Iceland. Unfortunately, the way we were treated by our guide overshadowed what should have been an unforgettable experience. We left feeling disappointed, excluded, and far less valued than the other guests on the tour.

We booked this the day before and it worked out great to meet them at P5-was great to hike around from there after, too!! Michi was our guide and she was great. I loved they took our pics because there’s no way to operate your phone in a bag with all that gear. Once in a lifetime experience!!
Hi there, thanks for taking a moment. Glad the Silfra day worked out well and that the guide brought good care to it. Hope you'll be back! Arctic Adventures Team
It was a very beautiful activity with magnificent and impressive underwater views. Our guide Hernan was extraordinarily kind, attentive, and very competent. My 21-year-old daughter and I loved it.
We did the tour with Laura, in groups of 6. After arriving at the meeting point, the check-in was quick; we were given under-suits and then drysuits to stay dry underneath. Our belongings are left at the meeting point. Then the tour begins and lasts about 40min. The water is very cold. It is very beautiful. Thank you Laura
Hi there, much appreciated. Glad Silfra was as beautiful as it should be, and that the guide kept the group looked after throughout. See you next time! Arctic Adventures Team
Very professional explanations in full details. Our lady guide was kind and polite.
Hi there, what a kind review to read. Glad the pre-dive explanations set the tone and that the guide brought both professionalism and warmth to the day. Can't wait to have you back with us! Arctic Adventures Team
My wife and I enjoyed this experience a ton and even though we were a little nervous, Aleks did a great job preparing us and checking in with us throughout the time. Would highly recommend, and hope you get Aleks as a guide!
