Shuttle Service from El Tunco to Antigua or El Paredón

The only reason we gave it 2 stars and not 1 is because they got us from point A to point B but the experience was absolutely terrible. We scheduled this service a few weeks in advance and the day before pick-up they changed the time from 4 AM to 12 AM and the day-of pick up they changed it again to 11 PM. This put us in a tough position with our hostel accommodations because we had then unnecessarily paid for an extra night where we were staying and also didn’t have a room reserved for that evening/ morning where we were going. In person they were rushed, rude, took several wrong turns, blasted music at full volume for our overnight ride and never turned on the air conditioning. They nearly refused to bring us to our actual destination once we were “close enough” in the destination city. It was a disaster. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Perhaps the most alarming part was that the driver blasted music the entire ride at a volume that even my headphones on full-volume could not drown out. Full volume music from 11 PM until 5 AM. They never turned on the air conditioning and it was sweltering inside. When we arrived at our destination city at 5 AM, hours ahead of schedule, they drove to the city center and yelled at everyone to get out and walk to their hostels. Our hostel was a half hour walk away. We eventually convinced them to drop us off at our hostels where we weren’t sure we would be able to get in because everyone was asleep and not expecting us. Delicious breakfast at La Posada on the road from San Salvador to La Libertad. Visit to surf city, a beautiful park under renovation. Visit to El Tunco beach, near surf city, lots to do. Recommended to eat in Betos. Follow the road to the west and go through tunnels through the mountains, very beautiful. Depending on the time and climate, you can visit Cerro Verde with views of the volcanoes and go to Lake Coatepeque to return to San Salvador. Recommended

Great service great minivans very comfortable and professional Picked up fro SAN Salvador and others from El Tunco playa then to La Union to pick up ferry Staff were great no tips needed spoke some English and everyone was happy 👍💎🙏
