We begin the day with our city loop tour where we will provide guided commentary of Hobart's major attractions and landmarks. Our first destination is the awe-inspiring kunanyi, also known as Mt. Wellington. Ascend to the pinnacle at 1272m and be mesmerized by the breathtaking panoramic view of Hobart and its surroundings. Next, we'll venture to the renowned Salamanca Market, available on Saturdays only. After exploring the market, we will continue our journey through the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. Along the way, we will quickly stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese. Then, we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history. Richmond is home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. To conclude our adventure-filled day, we'll visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Get up close and personal with the kangaroos and other native wildlife. Don't miss the chance to witness the famous Tasmanian Devil.

Ascend to the pinnacle at 1272m and be mesmerized by the breathtaking panoramic view of Hobart and its picturesque surroundings. Next, we'll venture to the renowned Salamanca Market, available on Saturdays only. This world-class market showcases the very best of Tasmanian culture, offering a delightful array of art, local produce, talented buskers, unique souvenirs, refreshing beverages, and much more!
we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will be able to admire Australia's oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. Additionally, we highly recommend visiting the Drink Tasmania Tasting House, where you can indulge in tastings of the region's finest wines, whisky, and local produce.
After exploring the city we will continue our journey through the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. This region is renowned for its award winning cool climate wines. Along the way, we will make a quick stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese, where you can enjoy a complimentary cheese sampling and an opportunity to purchase some local produce from the farm gate cafe.
To conclude our adventure-filled day, we'll visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Get up close and personal with the friendly kangaroos and other fascinating Tasmanian and Australian wildlife. Don't miss the chance to witness the famous Tasmanian Devil, a true highlight even for locals!

We pick you up at the cruise ship terminal. Please make your way to the Information desk inside the terminal. Where you will see your guide with a sign saying Tassie Tours. Check-in opens 30 minutes prior to departure of the tour. Thank you Please note that cruise ships typically have lots of changes with their schedule in the lead-up to your arrival. Enjoyed the day in Hobart, views from Mt Wellington were amazing. Saw tasmanian devils and other wildlife at the animal sanctuary. Richmond was interesting, the bakery is not to be missed if you like savouries or cakes. Our tour guide was so informative. I would recommend this tour. Just make sure you're not left behind at Mt Wellington.

Skye was a terrific guide. She made sure we got to all the sites on the itinerary and gave us so much info about Hobart and Tasmania, in general. We saw so many Kangaroos and many other Australian wildlife species, including a Tazmanian Devil at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.

This was an incredible experience! Tasmania is beautiful and the opportunity to interact with kangaroos was once in a lifetime! Amazing experience!

The weather didn’t cooperate (lots of mist and rain) but we had a fun day anyway. I wish the tour guide (Skye) would have provided a commentary during the drive so we got more information on what we were driving past. I also think the tour organizers should have a rainy day plan as it was somewhat unorganized.

Mount Wellington is a highlight, but unfortunately the weather was uncooperative for our visit and we had to make other plans... Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is interesting. The town of Richmond is lovely! Our guide, Skye, did her best to keep us all entertained and engaged while she had to go shift from plan A to plan B to plan C. All due to weather and one option being mysteriously closed on a weekday. I would probably have given this tour a higher rating if we had seen what we hoped to see ... it's not ideal in poor weather. I would recommend this excursion on a good weather day only.

We had very bad weather and our driver offered to improvise to improve our experience and she was EXCELLENT. We got to see a platypus in the wild, had a lovely lunch, an incredible trip experience at Bonorong and she finished it up by getting us back to the ship in a timely manner. She did it all with a delightful sense of humor and a lot of knowledge. Exactly the experience I was looking for
