Shore Excursion: Half-Day Auckland Volcanoes Tour

Description
Auckland is known as the City of Sails, but some think it should be called the City of Volcanoes! Gain insight into Auckland's unique volcanic geology and explore its rich Maori history on this half-day tour from Auckland. Beginning with a scenic drive along the waterfront, get exclusive vehicle access to the summits and craters of Auckland's youngest volcanoes (including Mt Eden and One Tree Hill) with a guide. Along the way, keep watch for native New Zealand wildlife and admire panoramic views over the city. At the end of the tour, we can drop you off anywhere in the city. Please note, volcanoes visited are inactive.

Very Knowledgeable and friendly. Was a great experience.
Great tour and fun day! We were picked up promptly at cruise port and Mike was friendly and knowledgeable — my husband (former geologist) said his answers were very good with enough detail to make geology understandable but was also able to answer extra science questions when asked. Kept a good pace and walking was active but not extreme. Beautiful views of city and bay from the short climbs to tops of volcano grassy craters! Liked going to different sites and hearing a little history about volcanos that surround Auckland and how Maori used the craters. Well worth the money!
Great day despite the largely awful weather! On me in the tour and glad Mike didn’t cancel it due to the weather, which he almost did, but would have meant that was it for me as I was off the next day. Very knowledgeable and chatted around our wider travels. Weather meant couldn’t see some of the views at the various volcanoes, but interesting to learn about them and Māori culture at the times.
Tremendous experience. Tour guide Mike, knew everything about Auckland history, past culture , current culture. Volcano information was super interesting!
This was a very enjoyable tour. The guide, Mike, was knowledgeable and friendly. The itinerary was well planned. The trip matched the description shows in the promotional material.
Great way to see and learn about the volcanoes that surround Auckland. The peaks give you amazing views and why not get a little exercise in too.
Very informative and beautiful views of Auckland as well. Mike is very knowledgeable and well versed on the subject of New Zealand volcanoes.
This is a great little tour in Auckland. Mike is a great and patient guide, with tons of information about the volcanoes of Auckland you don’t get anywhere else. Very eye opening and extremely interesting tour, highly recommended!
Great experience! Lots of information on NZ and the volcanoes. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions, and take a lot of photos for us. I would highly recommend this tour.
