Wonderful walking tour of York with David Haw!

We loved this walking tour of York! Our tour guide David Haw was very knowledgeable and he took us all over downtown York. We saw areas we never would have found on our own! Such a charming city, full of history. I highly recommend this tour and if you can get David Haw, great! He’s a wonderful guide.

Great York Experience

Dave has a great knowledge of the city and we learned a lot during our 2 hours tour. He is a fantastic guide, very helpful as well. The only downside was seeing the people who abuse these walking tours. They stay there for 2 hours and give 5 pounds for 2 people or there was even a girl who did not tip at all! Please show respect to the guides and if you are not willing to pay do not join these tours!

Confusing directions from TripAdvisor, but excellent tour

Dave is very knowledgeable and patient with all your questions. He has a wealth of information about the history of York. Trying to find him was a bit of a challenge. We went to the address provided by TripAdvisor but couldn’t find the group. We were looking for the group outside on the street. Finally we found him 30 mins later after contacting TripAdvisor. The directions should be specified that the tour starts from inside the Guy Fawkes Inn. If we had known that, we could have waited inside the inn and not wander around looking for the group. Once we found him, the tour went well. Thanks Dave!

Touring the country in a camper van

We travelled up from Cornwall and York was one of the places we wanted to see on our travels in a camper van, and whilst walking around the town We happened upon Dave giving a tour and he kindly invited me and my husband to join in, he’s a very knowledgeable fella and made the tour interesting and fun, we would definitely join in one of his tours again. Best tour guide in York

excellent tour guide

Dave was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He took us into areas of York we would never have found for ourselves. Despite poor weather he kept everyone's interest. He didn't even lose anyone at the pub stop after an hour. However, regardless of how good a guide he was, after 3 hours hunger sets in, so we and most of the others reluctantly gave up. Well done, for an extremely interesting and enjoyable tour.
