Our journey begins with a stop at the 5 Finger Mountain Bus Stop, a delightful spot where you can immerse yourself in the local market ambiance, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee, or freshen up at the restroom facilities. This leisurely break sets the tone for the day, enabling you to absorb the surroundings before venturing into the depths of Azerbaijan's natural wonders.
Embarking on our Shahdag Tour, we journey to the core of Khizi, where the Multi-Colored Mountains of Khizi beckon. Aptly named the Candy Cane Mountains, these geological marvels showcase a vivid array of colors, reminiscent of sugary confections adorned with unique purple hues. The trip was absolutely worth it! We had such a wholesome group, which made the entire experience even more memorable. A huge thanks to our tour guide, Elcan, who was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and informative throughout the journey. A funny man yet very knowledgable about the history and culture of Azerbaijan which made the trip more meaningful. He answered all our questions and kind enough to ask us about our comfort on the trip! The drive was definitely long, but once we reached Shahdag, it was all worth it. The mountain views were breathtaking, fresh air, stunning landscapes, a peaceful atmosphere, and lots of fun activities that instantly made the long journey fade away. The tour fee was definitely worth every bit of the experience, and I’d absolutely love to come back and see Shahdag in other seasons too!
