Itinerary
Morning in Baku. The guests are met by a guide around the country – a representative of the tour operator Azerbaijan Travel International and everyone sets off on a comfortable bus, first passing through the whole city. There are 250 kilometers ahead, and guests will have several halts, stops with excursions and lunch.
10:45 Shamakhi city is the ancient capital of the medieval state of Shirvan. In this city, one of the centers of Azerbaijani poetry and viticulture, guests will have an excursion to the Juma Mosque. Guests will find themselves in the walls of a grandiose architectural structure made according to ancient antiseismic technology. A visit to the first Muslim temple in the Caucasus, built in 743, will introduce tourists to the history of Islam in Azerbaijan and the history of the mosque itself. After that, they will go further along the road that stretches like a ribbon along the Mugan mountain Pass, classic for the Greater Caucasus, and leads to the northwest of Azerbaijan to Ismayilli.
In Ismailly we will visit The Zernava Bridge - a scenic suspension bridge stretching across a deep mountain gorge. Surrounded by forests and dramatic landscapes, it offers stunning panoramic views and has become a popular spot for travelers seeking nature, adventure, and unique photo opportunities.
Tufandag - Ski trails are located here and cable car cables are stretched over them, from which magnificent views of the mountains and the central part of the city open. The highest point of this exciting attraction is the peak of the Sleeping Beauty Mountain (Yatmysh Gezel), located at an altitude of about two thousand meters above the level of the world ocean. Note: Guests who wish to spend more time in Tufandag and fully enjoy the resort’s activities are welcome to choose our alternative program, “Tufandag (Gabala) Tour.” This tour includes 6 hours of free time at the resort, giving you the freedom to relax, explore, enjoy cable cars and activities, and dine at a local restaurant offering national and European cuisine, with shisha available if desired. Full details, itinerary, and available dates can be found on our “Gabala Tufandag tour” page. The tour operates every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
17:00 The tour operator Azerbaijan Travel International is not limited to a trip by cable car in the city of Gabala. The next stop is a tea party in the House of Sweets, where our guests drink tea with all kinds of dessert dishes, tasting of which is included in the price of the tour.
Yeddi Gozel Waterfall (Seven Beauties) is a scenic seven-tiered waterfall located near Vandam village in Gabala, Azerbaijan, surrounded by lush mountains and forests. It is popular for its refreshing, steep hiking trails to the upper levels, tea stalls, and scenic, photogenic, and relatively cold natural environment
13:30 Lunch in the mesmerizing Ismayilli forest. A relaxing break in a cozy forest restaurant brings a delicious highlight to the Baku–Gabala journey. Surrounded by trees, birdsong, and the scent of fresh mountain air, guests enjoy a three-course meal made from locally sourced, organic ingredients. The peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings create the perfect setting for a tea ceremony under the canopy. Well-fed and refreshed by the beauty of Ismayilli, the guests continue their journey — and the true climax of the tour still lies ahead.

Quite a tour to get acquainted with the suburb of Baku, we were accompanied on the tour by guide Oguz, attentive, sympathetic, detailing interesting facts about the history and current state of places.
