Itinerary
In a 3,5 hrs walking food tour you will dive into this world of culinary experiences, during which you will try only the best tapas in each bar. Sipping a glass of wine or local beer you will be able to feel this unique lifestyle, based on hard work but also moments of pleasure, social life and relax. We will walk through the beautiful streets of the old town, passing by the most famous monuments, while our local expert will give an insight into the history and culture. Please, bear in mind that the tastings here described may change according to the season and the availabilities of our partners.
Let's start your culinary journey near the most famous monumental complex in town! You will meet your local expert in front of the Archivo General de Indias - a Renaissance building that contains document from the Spanish Empire era - and then head to the Cathedral with the iconic Giralda, the bell tower built across the centuries with Arabic influences. In a tapas bar nearby you will discover Andalusian cuisine with its local tapas, such as the famous montadito de pringá, a small sandwich that can be hold between your fingers filled with local delicacies. And no tapas tour is complete without some local drinks to sip!
Near the Cathedral you will visit a local shop, specialized in the famous jamon iberico, Spanish ham that's well-known all over the world. Here you will enjoy a tasting of the most famous ingredients of Spanish and Andalusan cuisine: jamon and queso. Not just some ham and cheese, but a delicious experience through the flavours of this region!
Plaza de la Pescaderia is a quare situated in the heart of Sevilla's old town, above the aqueductum called Aqua Hispalensae. It's named after the fish market that used to take place here from 1705 to 1820. Nearby you will discover a delicious selection of tapas in this adorable tapas bar: from the iconic ham croquetas, creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, to the famous gazpacho (in its Andalusian version), it will be a true local culinary experience for food lovers.
Plaza del Salvador is a locals' favourite, especially at aperitivo time! This is probably one of the most beautiful squares in town, surrounded by the majestic Iglesia del Salvador, a former mosque that's now a baroque Catholic church. We will end this experience right here, with a must-try of Spanish cuisine: churros with chocolate. Even though you may be familiar with this dessert, it's in Spain where you will eat them in their original version, of course served with a cup of thick hot chocolate. And when the sun hits in Summer, you will get the chance to taste a refreshing home-made ice cream, flavoured with local ingredients
