Description

Discover Bergen's Viking heritage on our Sea to Summit Tour, revealing the city's rich past and fascinating Norse legacy. While Bergen is known for its Hanseatic history, few know it was founded by a Viking king and once served as a royal seat. It’s also home to the world’s largest collection of ancient runes. Your adventure begins by the sea in Bergen's historic center, where Viking seafarers once walked. From there, journey to one of the city’s most iconic landmarks: Mount Ulriken, the first location in Bergen named by the Vikings. The tour includes roundtrip transportation with bus and cable car tickets for a seamless and comfortable ascent. At the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the city, fjords, and mountains—once navigated by Viking explorers. Explore hiking trails, try mountaintop activities, or enjoy lunch at your own pace. Open return tickets let you descend whenever you choose. This tour blends history, nature, and adventure for a deeper look at Bergen’s Viking roots.

The last Viking tour worth Anna

Very informative and lots of fun. Anna was full of interesting facts about Vikings and Bergen. She flexed the tour to meet our interests and we loved the cable car ride up Ulriken mountain. The best laugh was had with the very crazy axe throwing - which was an unplanned but much enjoyed addition to the tour. Anna was very personal, entertaining and huge fun to be with. We loved every moment! Would highly recommend!!!! 💚

Hi 973magsw Thank you for your review. We are very happy to hear that you had lots of fun on your Sea to Summit tour with Anne. She is so happy you enjoyed your experience. There are many traces after the vikings in Bergen and we love to take our guests on a little discovery of this very special part of our history. We hope the axe throwing connected you with your own inner viking, and that the views over the "realm", made lasting memories of your visit in beautiful Bergen. Thank you for recommending this to other travelers. Best wishes for all your future outdoor adventures to come. Bergen Base Camp crew.

Fun tour!

We had a great time on this tour! Ana was lovely. We ended up being the only 2 people on the tour, so she tailored the information she shared with us so it didn't repeat what we had already seen/done in Bergen. The views from the top of Mount Ulriken were absolutely beautiful! And we got to try some axe throwing which was a lot of fun!
