Make incredible memories on this Safari! Take a guided game drive on an open safari vehicle and experience this amazing close up viewing opportunity. Enjoy a Safari boasting all the major bucket list animals in their natural surroundings roaming free. Start with a 2-hour Safari, followed by a short refreshment and bathroom break (dependent on the time of visit) before continuing the Safari for approximately another 2 hours. Meet at the central Lapa for either lunch or dinner (depending on the time of visit) and enjoy a meal prepared over open fires which gives you the real feel of Africa. After indulging in a dessert and cold drinks, take a slow drive back to the reception area where you will complete your safari. If you have used us for transfers, we will be waiting to take you back to your pickup point. The Game Rangers are very experienced and know the hiding spots of the animals. Therefore chances of sightings are very high, but can unfortunately never be granted.

- There is a travel time of 1 hour either way to get to the Safari. The actual Safari is 5 hours and 30 minutes in duration. Including Travel time this would increase to 7 hours 30 minutes.

We had a great trip to the Schotia Reservation. Great organized by LangLoe, as well as all our tours we had booked. In Schotia you get very close to the animals (including lions!) and they are extremely relaxed; eye to eye with an elephant!! The experience was rounded off by a tasty meal, the wildebeest was sensationally tender and good 👍 .
Our guide Danson was just great! Super friendly, much told and explained about Cape Town! He loves his city and the people! Lots of respect for nature and wildlife - always warm! We have seen much of the Cape Town area which is just beautiful! Unfortunately Table Mountain was closed but the possibility to redeem the ticket for 7 days is available. All top 👍 absolutely recommended!
It was really good. We were able to get close to the animals and again the guide did a great job of finding them. He was good at explaining. It was a tour worth the high price. If I had another chance, I'd want to participate. Thank you very much.

Our visit to Schotia Big 5 in Port Elizabeth was phenomenal, since the translation of our lodging, the staff sent us a very comfortable and clean car, the driver was very kind throughout the journey, clarifying doubts and passing information from the tour. The Schotia Safari was very organized, since the observation vehicles, the guides explaining about all the animals seen, and when we couldn't see any of the animals, they returned with the vehicle until we found the desired animal, I recommend 100%, it is a guarantee of satisfaction, the dinner at the end of the Safari was the cherry of the cake, everything was very clean, tasty and organized, it was worth every cent invested! A walk you missed! On the way back from Safari to the base, there was the driver waiting for us on time, and took us in the most complete safety! Super recommend this tourism company!!

Picked up at Port of Port Elizabeth at 13:30, went straight to Schotia. Ms. Babalwa, the driver was very nice, she even offer me wifi. Arrived there along with other cruise ship passenger and other tourist. I went together with a family of 3, coming from Dutch. Guided by Mr. Zane, he said he was once a teacher, the way he explains about the animals and slighlty input some jokes is amusing. I feel like I'm attending my favorite biology class once again at this age. We saw elephants, girrafes, secretary bird in distance, sable antelope, impala, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, crocodile, waterback, zebra, ostrich, wildebeest, and other small animals. As we saw the sunset, we also saw 2 out of 3 new rhinoceros releasing process into the wild. Not something happens everyday, indeed. Went back for dinner, first time eating ostrich meat and the traditional South Africa dessert, Malva Pudding! Went back to the starting point with a spice of night safari. Meet the lion again on the way back and it was laying down there, only looking at us within close proximity of 3 or 5 metres away. I'm very happy since lions are my favorite animal. Ms. Babalwa picked me up again and drop me in Port Elizabeth. Went back to ship before 22:00 with full heart and full tummy. Tips to the other tourist before you go, bring your own binoculars and enjoy the ride! Thank you Schotia!
