Walvis Bay Salt Works, a shimmering landscape of white salt mounds and reflective pools that seem to stretch endlessly. At the pink water pans, you’ll have quiet time to admire the soft rose tones and watch delicate waders tracing gentle movements across the water.
Pelican Point, where fresh ocean air meets the playful calls of Cape fur seals. Black-backed jackals often wander along the shoreline, creating a raw yet peaceful coastal atmosphere.
Your route then guides you into the vast expanse of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, one of the oldest deserts on Earth. Here, the silence deepens, the dunes rise higher, and the magical colours of the Namib surround you. This stop invites slow photography, reflective moments and an appreciation of the desert’s timeless stillness.
From the park, you move toward the tour’s grand finale: Sandwich Harbour, where the towering dunes slip dramatically into the Atlantic Ocean. Dune driving here is calm, steady and focused on your safety and comfort. Pickup Locations & Times
Complimentary pickup is available from selected accommodations in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. Cruise ship guests will be met at the designated pickup area at Walvis Bay Port, where all tour pickups are conducted. Your guide will be waiting with a small sign displaying the guests’ names for easy identification. Please provide your accommodation details or cruise ship name after booking to ensure smooth pickup arrangements. We also kindly ask the lead traveller to provide a contact number, preferably with WhatsApp, so we can easily reach you regarding pickup arrangements or tour updates if necessary. Final pickup times will be confirmed prior to departure. Kindly be ready 10 minutes before pickup time and keep your phone available for communication if needed. This is a relaxed small-group experience hosted personally by the owner, allowing guests to enjoy a more personalised and informative journey through the beautiful Sandwich Harbour area.
