We booked the activity last minute and did not regret. It was our first cooking class and it was a great success. Would recommend to anyone
Chris gave us a great immersive tour of the market explaining all the interesting Peruvian fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats. Then we went to a private dining room and cooking studio where we made ourselves a pisco sour and a 3-course meal. It was fun and entertaining, and everything was delicious!
So great to hear you enjoyed the experience! The market part is one of my favorites — there’s always something new to discover. You guys cooked everything so well and it was a really fun session. Thanks for coming and for sharing such kind words!
Christian was AMAZING! We had so much fun and the food was so delicious! Thank you for changing my mind on alpaca! We loved it, would highly recommend!
I knew I could convert you to the alpaca side! 😂 So glad you loved it. You guys brought such great energy — made the class a blast. Thanks for coming and cooking with me, hope we cross paths again soon!
Our family of five (20,18 and 14) really enjoyed the walk around the market and lunch cooking class. The market tour was fascinating and very informative. Luigi was a great guide and excellent teacher. Never thought we could learn how to make our own ceviche, and the homemade passion fruit pisco sours we made were delicious. Very accommodative to tastes (no fish or dairy for some of our group), Highly recommended!!
Luigi was an amazing guide and cooking instructor! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about Peruvian cuisine and its history!
Had free day, before flight back to Europe and decided to try myself with Peruvian cooking classes. Managed to book dinner classes, as guys were really proactive. Group was small (i.e. 5 ppl.) and we met at the main entrance of the San Pedro Marketplace. Where Luigi (cook) introduced us with main ingredients and even a bit of history. Will not go into details of cooking as it is well described on their website. But I am definitely not regretting trying myself with cooking classes. Cook, Luigi, was approachable, funny and knowledgable about his trades. Would definitely pass the recommendation to those willing to cook something different than their everyday’s meal … (talking to non Peruvians) … :)
Was a lot of fun and Chef was wonderful.. Chef’s English as impeccable and he gave an interesting (but not overdone) tour of San Pedro market. Was great about substituting ingredients if you didn’t like something or wanted alcohol free.
We had an amazing day with our Chef Luigi. Our market tour was very informative and we grabbed a few extra items to bring home based on Luigi's recommendations. The kitchen/studio location was very well appointed and quite pleasant and inviting. We had a blast making drinks and our appetizers and meal. Very memorable experience.
This experience was exceptional. Christian the owner is very responsive, and the chef Luigi was amazing. His English was perfect, he was super friendly and gave us a great tour of the market, then led us in a fantastic hands on cooking class. The food was so delicious (we did lunch) and easy to make, we will make again at home. I have a dairy allergy and it was easy to modify my meal. We also had our 9 month old baby with us and they made the entire experience so approachable with her. We considered a lot of other cooking classes and are so thankful we picked this one. Highlight of Cusco, definitely recommend
Let me start by saying everybody when you travel to areas new to you should take a cooking class. They’re fun they give you insight and this one was taught by a very handsome young man. We started off by going through the market shopping for ingredients. We would need for meals explaining spices explaining something about their 4000 different types of potatoes and they’re 400 different varieties of corn where things are sourced from tasting different fruits and vegetables. It was fun and insightful Then we went back to this lovely area that’s a studio where we proceeded to make Pisco sours from wonderful passionfruit that we bought at the market. On this event, I chose non-alcoholic as I was at 12,000 feet and it was only 10 o’clock in the morning . Ha ha ha ha. We then moved onto making ceviche and him explaining the kinds of fish you use why you use those and then we finished with a mushroom quinoa risotto. Everything was wonderful you were making the meal right beside him and then he sends you the recipes. We ate out in this beautiful little garden of what was a colonial style home at one time. This was a wonderful class that I enjoyed very much, Luigi was a chef and no, he’s not Italian, but he is handsome. This was my last event that I enjoyed on my 15 day trip of experiencing Peru and what a wonderful way to end my trip. Everyone should include this.
