Amazing experience in Peru!

We had an amazing time doing this trek! Our guide Fernando was the best guide! He was super helpful, organized, knowledgeable about the trek and made the experience incredibly fun. Fernando was also a great communicator, making sure everyone knew the plan and that we got to our next destination safely. Amaru, our other guide was also great and super friendly and patience while we trekked down the mountain. The domes are beautiful! Overall I had an amazing time and am so happy I did the trek!

Best experience ever!

This trip was amazing!!! I enjoyed every second of it. Fernando was an amazing lead guide who helped me every step of the way and made sure I was always comfortable. Amaru was an excellent guide as well who helped us trek down and get to our next accommodations. The food was delicious and the domes were really cool! I’m so grateful and so happy we did this 3 day trek!!!

Spectacular experience!

Jose was a great guide! We would never chosen to get up before dawn to go to the overlook of Machu Picchu but that is the value of an experienced guide! As the sun rose over the Andes, we had the opportunity to witness the clouds part revealing the ancient Inca ruins long before the site was mobbed with tourists. It was truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life! Jose was also a patient encourager as we made the difficult Salkantay Trek. An experience of a lifetime!

Lares Trek

Initially, we had planned to embark on the Salkantay Trek, but the inclement weather conditions rendered it unsafe. Fortunately, we were offered an alternative tour to Lares trek, which proved to be an exceptional experience. Our guide was outstanding, providing us with excellent care and ensuring our safety throughout the journey. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area and strongly suggest requesting Fernando as your guide.

The amazing alternative Huchuy Qosqo Trek

Initially, we planned for the Salkantay Trek but there were landslides due to heavy rainfall. So, we instead did the Huchuy Qosqo Trek which was really amazing and lead us through beautiful mountains, canyons and the Sacred Valley. A huge shoutout to our guide, Fernando, who was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of the Inca trails, history, and local culture made the experience even more meaningful. He was patient, encouraging, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Our cook, Armando, was a true magician! Every meal exceeded expectations – fresh, delicious, and just what we needed after long hiking days. From hearty breakfasts to incredible dinners, he kept our energy levels high and our stomachs happy. And of course, the porters – the real heroes of the trek! Their strength and dedication were beyond impressive. They carried all the essentials, set up our camps flawlessly, and always had a warm smile despite the tough conditions. Their hard work made our experience smooth and enjoyable. If you're considering a trek, do it! You’ll be in excellent hands with Fernando, Armando, and the amazing porter team. Highly recommended!

Magical hiking

We did the Lares Trek, which was an alternative option because we wanted to do the Salkantay Trek, but the rain didn't allow it. We didn't regret it, though, because it was a really beautiful and lovely experience. We met Andean villages and people with our guide Fernando, who was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person about all these places. We're very grateful to Fernando and Quechuas company for this unforgettable experience.

Awesome hike to machupicchu

We've just finished the Lares Trek, a great alternative to the classic Inca Trail and Salkantay which often has issues during the rainy season. It was a beautiful experience, with stunning landscapes and a phenomenal guide, Fernando, who led us safely to Machu Picchu. We highly recommend Ketchup Expeditions and guide Fernando, who is an outstanding person. Five stars!

Thanks for this amazing experiences

In February, we completed the Lares Trek, which was a truly unforgettable experience. The trek offered breathtaking views and environments, making it an ideal option for visiting Machu Picchu during the rainy season. Our guide, Fernando, was exceptional - professional, knowledgeable, and fluent in Quechua and English which greatly facilitated our interactions with local villages and Andean communities. We are deeply grateful for the experience.

Private Machu Picchu tour

We had a fantastic tour with our guide José, who put a lot of effort into it and was able to explain everything about the tour perfectly - despite the rainy weather (which we were also told in advance quite transparently) the tour was great planned. The highlight was Machu Picchu, where José gave us an enormous amount of information. The food, the communication, the guide and also the accommodation at the salkantay trek were great. Only the accommodation in Aguas Calientes was a bit run down for the price (but ok for a short night). The organization worked great, we didn't have to worry about anything. Therefore, gladly back in the wedding in even better weather.
