This small-group excursion to the heart of the Alpilles will let you discover its heritage and unique panorama. It begins in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a village with typical Provençal charm. You will stop at Les Antiques, Roman ruins located at the entrance of the ancient city, then at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole Monastery, one of the last residences of Vincent van Gogh, where he found a great source of inspiration. You will then be taken to the Carrières de Lumières, former quarries transformed into a cultural site, where monumental projections bring works of art to life. The discovery will continue at Les Baux-de-Provence, a perched village ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. Stroll through its streets full of character, and enjoy some free time to soak up the atmosphere. Finally, you will return to the road to end the day with a visit to the Pont du Gard, the famous Roman aqueduct, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Start your excursion with a visit to the village of Saint Rémy de Provence located in the heart of the Alpilles Regional Natural Park
Drive by the site of the Antiques (photo stop), the entrance gate of the ancient city of Glanum, then stop in front of the Saint Paul de Mausole hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed for nearly a year, during which he found a great source of inspiration for his famous painting (drive-by, no stop).
You'll discover the Carrières des Lumières, an immersive and spectacular art experience in the heart of ancient monumental quarries near the village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Masterpieces come to life there thanks to magnificent digital projections set to music. from July 4th “Ocean, An Immersion into the Underwater World”
Discover the village of Les Baux De Provence perched on its rocky spur and dominated by the remains of its medieval castle. This village, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, will amaze you with its panorama and its sometimes steep streets.
You will cross the Rhône during the drive to reach the site of the Pont du Gard, classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, a 1st century masterpiece built by the Romans to supply water to the city of Nîmes.

I really enjoyed my time on the tour. Our guide was generous with her time and information. I highly recommend taking a tour as a solo traveler. You are in a friendly and safe environment with help exploring the region.
