Set Sail in beautiful Salem, Massachusetts on an incredible and historic schooner yacht. Experience the majesty aboard John G. Alden's personal schooner yacht Malabar X. Winner of the 1930 and 1932 Newport to Bermuda race and open to the public and available in Salem for the first time in her history, don't miss out on your chance to sail into the past on the beautifully restored classic yacht. Our 2 hour Salem harbor sails includes soft drinks and bottled water. Craft can cocktails, beer and wine available for purchase onboard! Sit back and relax or lend a hand with the sails! This activity is good for all ages.

Set Sail aboard the historic and brilliantly maintained classic North Shore sailing schooner yacht! Experience a sail on Salem sound as it would have been in the early 1900's in classic yacht comfort. The majority of our sails are 2hrs and yes we do actually go sailing! Once the sails are set, we open our craft beverage bar, with cocktails, beer, wine, cider and weekly drink specials. Bar is available until 30 minutes prior to docking, cash and credit cards accepted. Boarding is at our 10 Blaney St. Salem, MA 01970 location. There is parking on the pier but please arrive early on busy summer days to ensure a parking spot. The vessel is located next to the Salem ferry building and boarding begins 15 mins. prior to departure. We look forward to sailing with you!

This was the highlight of our time in Salem. Being on this historic schooner was an experience in itself but the thoroughly knowledgeable crew added to a perfect tour. The crew was very professional and personable. I cannot rate this experience highly enough!
Unfortunately after the first 10 minutes we had to head back because of lightning. I received a full refund within a half hour of getting back on dock.
