Sailing cruise, If Castle, Frioul Calanques & swimming

Description
Set sail aboard "La Flâneuse", a traditional tartane (a local historic sailing vessel). Accompanied by experienced captains, discover Marseille from the sea as you sail toward the gems of the Marseille coastline and the Frioul Islands (part of the Calanques National Park). You will sail around the Château d'If—made famous by the novel *The Count of Monte Cristo*—and explore the coves of the Frioul Islands. On board, you can relax in comfort, enjoying the many beanbags and cushions crafted from the boat's old sails. During the voyage, the boat will anchor in a cove, giving you time to enjoy a coffee or a cold drink. You can even taste the traditional Provençal lemon syrup known as "PAC." Swimming is possible during the stop. Masks and snorkels are available aboard to explore the area around the boat while snorkeling.

We really enjoyed our trip. There was one long stop for swimming a nice spot by one of the islands. Snorkeling with lots of fish and jumping from the boat. A bit crowded but not too much. 3-3.5 hours is all you need. We took boat trips every other days as we don’t enjoy regular beaches. Those are not great in Cote Azure. But sea is amazing!
My family had a great time on the sail from Marseille. Swimming in the sea was a highlight of our trip!
We took the shuttle offered by the cruise ship from the port into town near cathedral and from there it was a 5 min walk to the dock. There was not enough wind to use the sail but the boat ride was relaxing and beautiful. We stopped for about an hour in a protected cove where they gave us snorkel and mask to swim. There was also opportunity to cliff jump. They served coffee, tea and lemonade. It was a lot of fun.
It was a great trip. Got a bit of a guide with info learned, very fun chill cruise, with an awesome swim in a gorgeous cove. Even had shade for the voyage since I had already gotten plenty of sun. First mate was a great help and the swarthy captain was just awesome all around.
Everything worked out great and a nice, relaxed crew. Nice boat, with a small group and a great view of Marseille.
This was a relaxing tour of the waters off Marseille on a historic ship. The scenery is beautiful. We stopped for a swim which was fun -- there were snorkels and masks but it wasn't really a snorkel tour. We were very near a busy place to grab a cocktail and snack afterward.
The meeting spot is on the side of the museum. Our gps was no help finding the location. We had a great trip. Jack explained down history of the port, various buildings, etc. He was patient with kids onboard. Let us get photos. They provided coffee, juice, waters. We had a great time swimming. They even provided noodles and gear.
Small cruise for a couple. Magical moment on the waves with a thoughtful and friendly crew. Short stop in a cove for a swim before returning by sail…
I was to start by saying that the experience was amazing once we were on the vessel. I am focusing my review on our difficulty with the directions. There was a meeting point that was listed and when I clicked on get directions in my map app on my phone, it took me to a spot on a set of stairs near the marina. There was another couple waiting there as well, they had also booked through Viator but they were on a different tour and sadly missed theirs. We were 30 minutes early for our tour and I would have continued waiting there thinking it was the correct place but my husband got anxious and wanted to go closer to where the boats were so we stumbled upon the correct ship. We made it 2 minutes before the scheduled time so all worked out but we would like to recommend more details for the meeting place so others can avoid this mistake. Like I have already said, the experience once onboard was amazing and we enjoyed every moment once we got over our initial stress.
It was the Highlight of our travel this time in Marseille. Such a beautiful boat, an amazing sailtrip and expirience. The capitain made sure to find the perfect swimming spot. I wish to spend an entire day on this boat sailimg the islands around Marseille. Can only recommend. Worth every cent!
