This is a fantastic wine tasting. Fira was a great guide. He made a couple of unexpected stops along the way to see some small towns and the American WWII Memorial and Cemetery. This made the tour even more enjoyable. The open top van is very cool.
This was such an amazing day!!! It was my husband and my second time doing a tour with Firas (this time with friends), and the whole group couldn’t say enough good things about the experience we had! Firas is so kind and does an amazing job curating the trip. We first stopped at the American WWII cemetery outside of Florence which is a powerful experience (he asked if we wanted to stop and we were very interested- Firas is also very knowledgeable about history!!!). The first winery we stopped at (which was new to us), Poggio al Sole, was really beautiful and we really enjoyed walking the grounds and touring the cellars (and of course tasting the wine and vinegars with light snacks!). My husband and I liked it even more than the one we visited a few years ago, and that was a great experience too! We then stopped in Greve to explore, which everyone really enjoyed. Our lunch at Luiano was spectacular, and they even took great care of my gluten free needs. The picturesque swing looking into the countryside is an amazing way to remember the day, as are the bottles of wine we look forward to receiving in a few weeks! 1000% recommend this tour!! It is a gem! We had an amazing trip to Italy and packed a lot of exploring in, and everyone agreed this was one of our favorite days!
Thank you so much, you don't know how happy you make me with all these beautiful words, I hope you can come back to visit me soon Firas
Our guide, Firas, was amazing. He was informative about the areas we drove through and even stopped to show us some of his favorite spots along the way. The wine tastings were fantastic and the staff at the wineries were very knowable about the history of the estates, wine making process and wines we tried.
Guide was excellent & provided history at each stop. Especially loved the memorial. The wine tasting was also very interesting & the wine, oils & vinegar were excellent. It was a beautiful day to enjoy & soak up the sun in the open top van.
Lovely experience! The tour guide was very friendly and explained everything clearly. We stopped at the U.S. World War II memorial. Not sure if they do that for every tour, or if they stopped because we are American. The first winery was great, professional and organized. The second winery was a bit disorganized, but that could be because they were very busy. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience.
What an incredible day! The open air car was so nice, no highway driving all back roads so all you see is the beautiful country side and the weather was gorgeous! Felis went above and beyond to show us everything, wine and food were so good as well, I would definitely recommend this day trip : )
Visit two small family vineyards and get the feeling of making Chianti up close from people who love what they do. The snacks an lunch are all delicious and you get 4-5 glasses of wine in each of the two vineyards. The open van is a good way to experience the beautiful Tuscan countryside but bring a jumper!
Farus was a wonderful guide of the Tuscan area. We loved the wineries. Wine was delicious and we sent some home. So much fun.
Firas our driver and guide was fantastic! He showed us around Florence, to the WWII American cemetery which was amazing, then went to two wineries. A lot of good information and wine tastings. Firas was very helpful and a good driver. Helped us go shopping in a small market square and was happy to take plenty of pictures for us. Highly recommend.
We wanted to do something different to the usual format bus tours we were getting tired of and bored with. This custom built, open air vehicle is a great way to take in the beautiful views and especially travelling through the narrow Tuscany village streets. The itinerary made for a thoroughly relaxing, nicely paced enjoyable day without having to rush from place to place. Two wineries were visited with the one in the afternoon providing lunch and having a beautiful view over the vineyards in the valley below. Firas our driver had good conversational English which is always a plus. Have no hesitation in recommending this excursion.
