We loved our tour with Grant. He gave us a ton of Edinburgh and Scottish Royal history during the tour which made it very interesting. He had to improvise a little since King Charles had an event at the Cathedral but he made it very seamless. I highly recommend picking this tour, and any other tours offered by Mercat Tours.
The 0930 tour was perfect! You start before the streets get busy and the express entrance into Edinburgh Castle is a great bonus. Mally loves the city and he loves what he does. He’s a great storyteller and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour.
Great trip, Mally was awesome.
Fun and easy way to learn more about the city. Plus, the castle is easier to see when someone is pointing you in the right direction.

The trip up the Royal Mile with Mally was much more than expected and such a treat to see that the history of this place is right before our eyes. He covered a lot and made it fun and interesting with stories of how the people lived there over time. He is a wonderful storyteller and so glad we didn't miss out on this tour - it was truly wonderful.

Loved this excursion! Our guide, Nicola, was amazing! She has so much knowledge and did a great job taking us around and showing us everything. Having the headphones on was extremely helpful. No way would we have heard everything she said without them. I highly recommend this tour and count yourself lucky if you get Nicola as your guide!
