We had such a wonderful day out with Jonglok! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting New Zealand. He was a safe and patient driver and knowledgeably guided us through a variety of locations in Rotorua. This tour offered such a great option to see a variety of attractions all within one day, it's a superb option for those trying to pack a bunch into one day like we were.
Owen is great, I just think it’s not worth it. The whole trip is just wrapping up together and sitting in the car. Not many sites are worth visiting, only the thermal wonderland needs ticket, the rest is just free to visit, the driver is very enthusiastic, it’s just the package is not worth 1500 dollars for two people.
Hello Tianyang, I’m very sorry to hear that you didn’t have a pleasant experience on our tour. Unfortunately, it was raining throughout the day during your visit, and I completely understand how the weather may have affected your overall enjoyment. I truly empathize with how you felt. Huka Falls and the Redwood Forest are among the most well-known and popular attractions on the North Island, and they are usually very beautiful. I regret that the weather conditions prevented you from experiencing them at their best. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in better weather. Kind regards, Han
We had a wonderful experience with Kenneth as our guide. He shared a lot of information, kept us on time and completed everything with flexibility for personal stop requests along the way. It was the best tour I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend.
Owen is the man!! He didn’t just guide this tour - he elevavted it! This is a long day, but thanks to him, it honestly felt like it flew by. From the moment we started, he was warm, welcoming, and endlessly kind, making us feel comfortable and excited for the journey ahead. He’s a funny guy and he kept us energized throughout the day, and his explanations were clear, thoughtful, and never rushed. What truly set Owen apart is his passion. You can tell he loves what he does and he made us fall in love with New Zealand!! He taught us a lot about New Zealand culture and history, and he did an excellent job explaining the science behind the geothermal sites in a way that was easy to understand and fascinating. You could tell he really knows his stuff and enjoys sharing it. Do this tour; if you’re lucky enough to get Owen as your guide, you’re in the hands of someone exceptional. This was easily a 5/5 experience, and Owen is a huge reason why.
This private tour service is perfect for solo travellers or couples or small families with bigger kids who can handle a lot of walking for the day. The tour is comprehensive and covers the important scenic sites in Roturua and Taupo, plus some add ons or flexibility to the schedule can be negotiated depending on what else you want to see or try, as long as the weather cooperates or time permits. Kenneth as a guide was very patient, very precise in estimating time and very helpful in pointing out beautiful spots to take pictures. The tour owner Mr. Han is very responsive to queries and ensures customers are happy and stress free.
Rotorua, Huka Falls & Taupo well worth visiting. A huge thank you to Owen, our guide for a super day out. Very courteous & took wonderful care of my son & myself. 10 stars.👍😁
There’s nothing like a private tour! Kenneth took my husband and I around. We avoided the crowds and he made sure to point out all the most important places to see, giving us history and background information. We learned so much! Felt like we were the only ones. It was so great to be able to see as much as we could in just one day. Kenneth was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. It was definitely one of our favorite tours of our three week vacation!
Plan for a great tour. Many great stops packed into one day. Kenneth was a marvelous private tour guide. Great driver and conversation. He was very much into making sure we had what we needed and wanted. The schedule allowed for a couple leisurely walks but was important to stay on schedule to see everything and miss the majority of the crowds when possible.
A VERY VERY LONG drive to see 4 areas of interest that were moderately interesting to us… Car was smallish for all of the drive time Guide seemed not very familiar with NZ politics geography or cultural idiosyncrasies Not much explanatory communication from guide TOO long of a commute for moderately interesting sites in a cramped vehicle … Mike was sweet and accommodating but did not learn much about sites visited except from placards at sites It felt like this was a very new job for him and that he needs more local orientation in order to be a guide and not be just a driver… my opinion
Dear Lilliana Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused during your tour. Unfortunately, there was significant roadwork on the day of your trip, which caused delays and prevented us from following the original itinerary. Although Mike made every effort to adapt and take you to alternative sites, we understand that the experience still fell short of your expectations. We truly appreciate your understanding and your willingness to leave a review to help improve our business. We also want to assure you that we have taken your comments seriously and, as a result, Mike will no longer be working with us moving forward. Regarding the refund, we deeply regret that your experience wasn’t as expected, and while we offered a refund, we respect your decision to decline. Your feedback has been incredibly helpful in guiding our future improvements, and we will work hard to ensure a better experience for all our guests in the future. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and we are grateful for your thoughtful and constructive review. Best regards, OHhappy Tour
Han turned up perfectly on time with a very warm welcome. It was just the two of us on the tour. Han was accommating in how long we spent at attractions and explained the best places to take photos. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were very well looked after. It is a long day,but well worth it.
