It was a little disappointing that we were not able to enter the Pantheon on our tour due to and event which I understand that things are not always within the tour companies control. It was still disappointing. While our tour guide, Fabio, was very friendly and informative, he tended to linger too long in certain spots which caused us to runout of time towards the end of our day.
I strongly advise travelers to avoid this company. I purchased this tour for my entire group because it specifically included skip-the-line entry to the Pantheon with a guide. Access to the Pantheon was the main reason we chose this tour and the most valuable part of what we were paying for. Up until the last moment, we were told that the Pantheon would be open. However, when we arrived, the guide informed us that the Pantheon was closed. She also stated that no tickets had been issued because the company already knew it would be closed. We were further told that the Pantheon would reopen later that day, but the tour would not return when it reopened. Many members of our group were upset and requested a refund, as did other participants on the tour. Every request was refused. What is most concerning is that customers were not informed in advance. Had we been told before the tour started that the Pantheon would be closed and that no tickets had been issued, we could have cancelled and made other plans. Instead, we only learned the truth after arriving at the meeting point. Based on my experience, this was misleading and unfair to customers. I feel that important information was intentionally withheld to prevent cancellations. I would not book with this company again and cannot recommend them to other travelers.
Dear Olesia15, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that the Pantheon was closed during your visit and understand how disappointing this was, particularly as it was one of the highlights you were looking forward to. As noted in the tour description prior to booking, the Pantheon is an active religious site. On occasions when it closes for religious ceremonies, or when entry is made free to the public and guided visits are not permitted, our guides provide a full explanation of its history and significance from the outside to ensure guests still enjoy an informative experience. These closures are determined by the Pantheon authorities and are unfortunately beyond our control. We would also like to clarify that the Pantheon visit forms one part of a broader guided walking tour that includes several of Rome's most iconic landmarks. Nevertheless, we fully appreciate your disappointment that entry to the Pantheon was not possible on the day of your visit, and we sincerely apologize that this affected your overall experience.
Hisam was our guide. He did a wonderful job on the tour explaining not only the sites we visited but other trivia too. Was very aware of some of us getting tired and took good breaks to keep everyone motivated to go.
We really enjoyed the tour with Haitham! He was knowledgeable and friendly and packed in all the history and significance possible into a short amount of time with a little humor too. Great experience!
Really enjoyed seeing the sites of central Rome. Definitely preferred this to the ancient sites. Liked seeing the pantheon and learning about the history of Piazza Navona. Liked being given a complimentary gelato when we got to Trevi Fountain, and then seeing Spanish Steps. Our guide, Donnatella, was very knowledgeable about everything. Would’ve liked better reception with the audio guides, but was probably because it was quite crowded. Thank you.
Great guide! We had a great time and the food was good. Wine was good and we enjoyed the history. We would recommend.
Very informative. Not too difficult to walk. We had one person who had a i jury to a knee and the managed fine.
This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was so informative and went above and beyond. The city was very crowded but he navigated us around like a champ! So much information we would never have gotten by just walking around the city ourselves. We loved it!
This was hands down the best guided tour we've ever had. Our guide Luca was phenomenal - both knowledgable and entertaining. He shared so much about the history of the monuments and the city, it allowed us to learn so much about Rome in 2.5 hours. Another benefit is that you actually go inside the Pantheon with this tour, unlike some others. This tour is a must, and I would recommend doing it early in your trip to Rome so you can gain a lot of historical background that will benefit you throughout the rest of your trip!
Luca was a great guide. He gave us a very thorough tour and shared lots of great information. He was fun and you could tell he enjoyed interacting with us all. The things we saw are incredible. The Pantheon is an incredible historic monument, possibly the most incredible in Rome. Great tour.
