We had Marco as our tour guide and he was amazing. He was very sweet and funny and had loads of knowledge about the areas we visited. I asked questions which he was super happy to answer. Highly recommend. The tour itself was definitely worth the money, we visited the market to sample Italian pestos, oils and other items. Then, it was beer and pizza. Next was Italian skewers with Italian wine. Then for some (massive) Suppli’s. Our next stops were in the Jewish area for grilled artichokes and gelato. I thought maybe we would be full by the end but we definitely were!! Eat food item had so much history behind it. The history was so interesting and we even visited a restaurant which was under an old ancient Roman theatre. It was beautiful. This is definitely a tour for those who want a quick (2 ish hour) tour around the city. It wasn’t too long and was packed with interesting stories.
There is food, there is history and there is a fantastic tour guide Francesca! We met a lot of great people from the group also- making life long Rome memories
Fantastic tour! Francesca was a very knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. The food and drink stops were excellent and we learned a lot as we walked around. Great value for money, would definitely recommend.

Our original booking was cancelled due to guide unavailability. Trip Advisor support quickly got us rebooked with Mattia. He was fabulous! Five stars! Friendly, well informed, answered all our questions and shared great information not only about food, but also historical bits of sights along the way. Even found a spot for us to purchase bubble wrap on the route to wrap our market balsamic vinegar purchases for the trip home! It was blistering hot out and he kept us on the shade and well hydrated. Terrific food included samples spanning from the open market area to Jewish Grotto. Highly recommend for a leisurely outing to learn more about the Roman food culture!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! Our guests satisfaction is our main goal! All the best wishes from our team!
Really interesting food tour taking in the Jewish Quarter. We tried five street foods including gelato and learned the history behind them as well. Good fun with other participants in the small group of 12. Excellent value for money and included beer and wine samples too. Would highly recommend for first time visitors to Rome. We went with our 14 year old who also enjoyed it.

Not just a great food tour (though the food was great). Our guide, Marco, made sure to include Roman history - which is of course everywhere. I’ve done several food tours in various cities and this was right in the middle of it all in Rome.
Great tour! Our guide (i think Marco) was really knowledgeable. Great stops to taste different foods and good duration. I recommend to do at the beginning of your trip so you can experience the culture before staying in rome.
