Top Notch Tour

If you visit Rome and want to tour the Vatican, a small group skip the line tour is a must. Sure you pay for the convenience of not waiting in a long line, but you also receive details of the history of what you are seeing, combined with the background stories that only an educated guide can provide. We had Rebecca for our tour and she was so knowledgeable and attentive to our group of 7. Encyclopedic knowledge of everything we visited. She provided us time to explore as well, and breaks from the Roman heat.

A Wonderful Day with Massimo

Our tour of the Vatican with Massimo was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! Exploring the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica can easily feel overwhelming, but Massimo made the entire experience seamless, captivating, and deeply informative. He knew every shortcut, security guard, etc. and made us feel like VIPs. What impressed us most was how incredible he was at working to keep our teenagers engaged - no easy task! Massimo did it effortlessly with his energy, wit, and deep knowledge. He also guide us to the train station after the tour, which was a nice touch. If you are visiting the Vatican with family or teenagers, booking a tour with Massimo is an absolute must. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Great tour but bad communication

Communication from Viator, which we just found out is now Liv Tours, was horrible. Every text I received with regard to our tour never mentioned that the tour was actually through Liv Tours. A tour guide was able to scroll through pages of stuff and found it. We almost missed the time

Thoughtfully planned tour on a 100F day in Rome

Wonderful tour of several of the Vatican museum rooms, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. There were six people in our group -- two family of three people. The guide (Chiara) was easy to find, across the street from the Vatican museum entrance. Entry was very smooth on a busy day and Chiara was thoughtful as to how she paced the tour and minimized our time in the direct sunlight. She did use the headsets provided by the museum and the Basilica and she was easy to hear. Her commentary focused on the Church in its mission and as patron of the arts. She was confident, easy to hear and understand, and clearly enthusiastic about her work. Pacing was excellent and nothing felt rushed. I broke off from the tour with 15 minutes to go as there as a mass in St. Peter's that I wanted to attend. She also was great about taking pictures of our family.
