The Do Eat Better Experience food tour is a walking tour around the historical center of Rome. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Do Eat Better Experience tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Italian culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible. Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Italian; other languages upon request.

Within our Rome Gourmet food tour, you will have the opportunity to taste some of the best dishes in Rome, directly from the tradition.
The tour starts with the typical Hand-made cookies, we will taste them in an old cookie's factory from 1920.
After that we'll continue to a famous norcineria where we are going to taste artisanal cheeses made with raw milk and prepared according to natural techniques. All of this and much more are accompanied by registered wines according to local excellence.
In a tiny eatery we are going to taste one of the best supplì in Trastevere, with a crunchy crust and deep-fried: this is a must try!
You can't come to Rome and don't try our typical Pasta alla carbonara , prepared with Italian bacon, pecorino cheese and black pepper.
At the end, don't miss the Artisanal ice cream: one of the best in town prepared with natural ingredients and presented in innovative and stunning flavours.

Barbara was AMAZING! She shared so much local knowledge, and her smarts went way beyond food. We got a great tour of the city as we went from place to place and she had an answer for every question. My only regret is that I couldn’t eat any more.

We had Carla for our personal tour guide. She greeted us with her warm smile and graciously welcomed us to the food tour. Right away, we felt a connection and were excited to learn about Italy’s food culture. She tied it in with our backgrounds explaining where the importance of nearby areas would be of interest as well. The food and dessert were very tasty. She explained about all the different foods, which was very informative. I would definitely recommend Carla. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious food combined with info regarding Italian cuisine.. pizza, coffee, cheeses, meats … all fresh ingredients.. tiramisu was the finale.. great guide. Friendly, entertaining and enthusiastic.. clearly loves her job.. Do it early in your visit. Fun, educational and you are eating like locals.,
