Rome Golf Cart Tour from Villa Borghese Gardens

Description
Golf Cart Tour is a unique experience. You’ll see classical monuments, town squares, and fountains the way they’re meant to be seen. We’ll introduce you to colourful side streets and more. We stop at each location so you can take in its beauty, walk in the buildings, and explore the area, instead of going through the main streets where there’s traffic, noise, fumes, and other tourists. We will drive on the quaint back streets to get to the main attractions.

Villa Borghese of Rome is one of the largest urban parks in Europe. During the 19th century the park received a major overhaul and converted to the English style with various ponds and fountains.
Piazza del Popolo is a very well-known square in Rome, with the porta Flaminia North gate of Rome.
The Mausoleum of Augustus in Rome, a large circular tomb is a key monument for exploring the reuse, reinterpretation, and rediscovery of antiquities over time, and it has a long, complex history that continues to resonate today.
The Column of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina which stands in Piazza Colonna in Rome is thought to have been erected by Commodus in memory of his father and mother sometime around 180 CE. The column carries representations carved in high relief of the emperor's successful military campaigns against the Quadi across the Danube between 172 and 175 CE.
Located between Via del Corso and Via dei Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia derives its shape from the remaking of the area, which took place at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, for the construction of the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.
This striking museum showcases the Mercati di Traiano (Trajan's Markets), the emperor Trajan's towering 2nd-century complex, while also providing a fascinating introduction to the Imperial Forums with multimedia displays, explanatory panels and a smattering of archaeological artefacts.
The Circus Maximus in Rome (Circo Massimo), located between the Aventino and Palatine Hills, was an extended precinct with space for 300,000 spectators.
In the Aventine hill, the Orange Garden of Rome is one of the city’s most beloved natural areas. This beautiful park covers almost 8,000 square meters and offers a panorama over Rome; if there is time we will stop also the the KeyHole of Rome.
LONG BEFORE THE MODERN LIE detector and its harmlessly jittering graphs and wires were invented, the superstitious and untruthful faced a much more severe fate between the jaws of the Bocca della Verità, or Mouth of Truth, an ancient carving which is said to bite the hands off of liars.
The Temple of Hercules is the only surviving sacred structure in ancient Rome that was made of Greek marble. Located in the Forum Boarium on the eastern bank of the Tiber, it is one of the oldest extant buildings in the city and is thought to be the work of the Greek architect Hermodoros of Salamina.
LOCATED IN THE ANCIENT FORUM Boarium near the Tiber river, the Temple of Portunus is a well-preserved example of ancient Roman architecture. The temple overlooked the fluvial port of Rome, watching over the goods entering the city.
The theatre of Marcellus was the largest and most important theatre in Rome and completed in the late 1st century BCE during the reign of Augustus. The architecture of the theatre would become a standard feature of theatres across the empire and influence the façades of such iconic buildings as the Colosseum.
Piazza Navona is one of the most beautiful and famous squares in the centre of Rome. In 86 CE, emperor Domitian commissioned this square with its unique, elongated shape. This shape is the result of its original function as the stadium for athletics competitions (Circus Agonalis) with stands for 20,000 spectators. The Pantheon is one of the most majestic architectural and historical sites in the heart of Rome. Dated about the early second century AD, it is one of the best-preserved historic buildings and testifies Roman building techniques’ superiority. Its dome with its unique central hole, the “oculus,” is the greatest ever built in masonry. The Pantheon is one of Rome’s best attractions and is one of the Italian capital’s architectural masterpieces.
Trevi Fountain is considered a late Baroque masterpiece, a genuine pearl among hundreds of different fountains in Rome. Trevi Fountain is arguably the best known of the city’s numerous fountains. It was designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762. According to legend, those who toss coins into its waters will return to Rome!
The Piazza di Spagna one of the most-visited squares in Rome. The name originates from the Palazzo di Spagna, the Spanish Embassy’s seat for the Vatican found on this plaza since the seventeenth century. The Spanish Steps is a preferred spot among tourists to relax, sit, and enjoy the scenes of Piazza di Spagna.

My wife and I came here completely ignorant and aviator made the whole process completely simple. We are both slightly disabled and the golf cart was the best way to see and get around. We would have never been able to do this without the cart. Had I was a wonderful guide and very patient. Loved it and definitely would recommend.
This was the perfect day one tour to get to know Rome. Our guide Jean Luca took us all over the city and provided a lot of historical context. Highly recommend.
Excellent knowledge of history and English! You see a lot in a short time! Great ride up and down small alleys! Grazie for a great afternoon!
We enjoyed a fantastic introduction to Rome on the first day of our trip with Gian-Luca on our golf cart tour. He created an itinerary that was perfect for us as a family with children visiting Rome for the first time. We saw so many great sights in a short amount of time and the golf cart was a fabulous was to get around the city. We would highly recommend this tour to others.
We saw way more from a golf cart, than we ever would have on foot! Our guide was the best in knowledge and kindness.
Claudio was so much fun and informative! Loved our 3 hours with him driving in the private golf cart. We got to see “off the beaten path” things since we’ve done many of the main tourist attractions. He’s a wonderful guide.
It is great for those who do not want to walk far in Rome - we saw many of the major sites and enjoyed descriptions of the views.
Paul was a pleasure, full of energy and an excellent photographer as well. He showed us many different places, and zoomed around the city like a pro. These little golf carts are perfect for people who are tired of walking but still want to see the narrow streets and different neighborhoods that make Rome authentic.
Golf cart is a great way to explore cities. Our tour was amazing - the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about his love to Rome and very accommodating. We visited everything from itinerary and after 3 hours knew tons about Rome’s history. This tour was worse every penny and every minute of our time
We had a terrific time on this tour! Such a fun way to see the city and go places quickly via scenic routes that simply could not be experienced any other way beside maybe a motor scooter which would be impossible with two young children.
