Wow , what can I say . It was the most Amazing tour I and my family have ever been on . To really learn about the history about the Colosseum, and the friendliness and professionalism that our tour guy Mircea Marciu displaces is a true gift. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Rome , colosseum history and all it has to offer . I personally did NOT want the tour to end . Thank you Mr Mircea , It was our first trip to Rome for my family and I . One that I will cherish and hold dear to my heart . Mr Mircea did an incredible job in engaging with all individuals during the tour. Thank you Viator , for having such great talent. Best tour ever!!!
Overall, everything was very good. The heat was extremely intense, but in general the experience was great. The guide was excellent. I think that because of the heat, everything had to be a little more rushed. The only issue was that the tour description said the ticket included access to the Arena Floor, Level 1, and Level 2. However, we were not taken to either Level 1 or Level 2 because the guide said those areas were not included with our ticket. That was the only disappointing part. I think it would be helpful if it were made clearer exactly what is and isn’t included, since you pay expecting a certain experience and then end up not receiving it. Other than that, everything was very good.
Giorgia was an amazing guide. She had a terrific and pleasant attitude, especially considering the August heat. She did a great job engaging everyone at the level they were at. She answered all of our questions and was sure to get us pictures.
Lots of climbing up and down. Large steps. Worth it. I enjoyed seen the architecture from the arena floor. No need to go under, as you can see if from the floor. Very organized.
What a wonder when you realize that the person guiding the group really knows what they are talking about, having the tour with Irene was more than wonderful, the entire tour was enjoyed, the analysis of the context and the development of the history with a building as imposing as the Colosseum and all the ruins of the Palatine. Thank you, Irene!
Great travel guide, such a good experience. Would definitely do it again. Very helpful and didnt feel rushed.
Wonderful experience. I went with my two children and the whole visit moved us, especially the Colosseum. Our guide, Eleonora, was divine. She knows the history, details, anecdotes, and was also attentive at all times to making it enjoyable, telling stories non-stop and also concerned about looking for gaps and shade to protect us from the heat, which despite being extreme, she made us forget. Everything was a 10!!!
An interesting tour. Irene is a professional guide, knowledgeable about historical details, and precise in her explanations. Maybe a bit expensive, to be honest. Almost 100 euros per person seems like an exaggeration to me.
The best part was the guide!!!!!! Her knowledge and her vocation for sharing it were impressive.
The experience was very good. Our guide Irene was magnificent; it was clear she had wonderful preparation, and she would clarify any questions you might have. She asked us at all times if we needed water, since the August temperatures are very high. We would do it again.
