Very good

Colosseum was a must do. Unfortunately there was a heatwave when we were there and there is almost no shade at the Colosseum.

No advance information...

No advance information given on how to recognise the tour operator amongst all the others in the same place - he had a red flag so would have been helpful to know that. Also the audio tour used the 'my Colosseum' app which took along time to download due to poor internet service in the area so if we had been advised this could have been downloaded in advance. The tracking on the app is poor so you are constantly given information from the wrong part of the tour. Would recommend a guide rather than self guided audio tour.

Invalid tickets issued, rejected at entry.

Our tickets, costing over €200, we're scanned as invalid at the entrance, so we weren't allowed in. When I complained to Viator, the tour operator refused a refund saying that we needed "documentation" from the Colosseum staff proving the tickets were invalid.

Great Experience but Overpriced.

Great experience to visit the Colessum with the family, easy process to get in and around with the information provided. It was very overpriced, £118 for tickets with a face value of €48 (£42).

Logistics were totally...

Logistics were totally fine but next time I would opt in for a guided tour going with kids. I feel like the only way for Colosseum to come to life is to have someone tell you about it. The audio tour is not very engaging for children. Definitely go early. It caught really warm really fast and the later you go the more crowded it’s gonna get.

Self guided was a perfect choice!

This was a perfect tour. Self guided so we set the pace and saw as much as we wanted. It was also very hot so we got to choose how long we wanted to stay. Highly recommend!!!

Entering the colosseum...

Entering the colosseum was easy and access to the arena was easy too. The app was not working properly making it hard to follow along. We listened to the information out of order and made the best of it.

Wonderful Stay!

WE LOVED OUR STAY! Our host was kind and showed us everything at the apartment. We felt safe walking to and from. The coliseum is a straight walk about 12 minutes. My kids (11/13) both walked it without issues. I could not get the drier to dry our clothes, but other than that we had a great stay. It was probably a language issue.

Not great

This tour was disappointing. We met the guide, who did not tell us anything about the site. We did skip the line to get tickets, but you can do that online. But we did not skip the line to get into the Colosseum. The app for the tour was difficult to use.
