We had the best time on this food tour! Our guide Marco was so knowledgeable and funny! Such a great way to experience the culture!
I loved this market. This is where the locals shop. There are plentiful meats, cheeses and fresh produce all of the highest quality. The best part of this market though, are the people who work there. They were all so friendly and helpful. Even though I don’t speak Italian, they were always willing to help me pick out fresh and delicious food products. I got some amazing buratta, prosciutto, olives, pecorino cheese, cherry tomatoes and some focaccia. Later on that day I had a “picnic” in my hotel room and enough for breakfast the next day. It was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Rome. It’s fairly easy to get there on public transit and it’s far, far, far from the hordes of tourists. It is a true and authentic Roman experience.
My wife went to the Museum, I went to eat ! I've been to central markets in Europe, Asia and in the USA, this one is the best. Every stand is a feast for the eyes and the stomach. To call it a 10 is an understatement. I had spaghetti and clams at the only seafood seller with tables, (That's all you need to find it) and it was just delicious, fresh and really great !
It was a very informative tour. The tour guide was very informative and articulated the history of Rome well. The wine and the food were very good. Truffle cheese stole the show absolutely delicious. I would recommend this tour for anyone in Rome. Special thanks to the tour guide very friendly and brilliantly told the history of Rome and the market.
The guide was great and we tasted some great local products. Really enjoyed it. If you like farmers and other markets, you will like this experience.
