Itinerary
My name is Riga. I was born more than eight centuries ago at the Daugava River and since then I have become much more beautiful and attractive. My father was Bishop Albert of Livonia and I was happy with it, but then came a lot of foreigners, who wanted to conquer my heart. However, I managed to stay strong and proud. Listen to my name again – Ri-ga. It sounds like music, like a promise, like a secret. Come and discover it!

Excellent tour with Tatiana! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and very witty! She kept the pace up and made sure the whole tour was filled with interesting and enjoyable sights. Highly recommended!! Thank you very much Tatiana!
So glad you had a great time, and we'll make sure Tatiana hears this, she'll be thrilled!Hope to see you again in Riga soon!
Tatiana was very knowledgeable and a great guide
The guide was knowledgeable, humorous and spoke excellent English.
Wear good walking shoes. Lots of cobblestone. Very informative. Guide was very good, just had a bit of problem with hearing apparatus.
Thank you for joining us, and glad our guide made it worthwhile! We've since upgraded the hearing equipment, so that should be a much better experience going forward!
Excellent historical overview of the city. The pace was good and we learned a lot. Although I had trouble with the headset initially, it was swapped out and then worked fine. Two others had trouble with the headsets as well. I would definitely recommend this walking tour as a nice way to learn about Riga. There was non-stop flow of information.
15:27 Thank you for this, and really glad the headset issue got sorted quickly. It means a lot to hear the pace and the flow of information hit the mark. Hope to see you back in Riga someday!
Nice pace and great explanations
Ideal to get to know more about the city that could easily go unnoticed, this 90-min tour is full of interesting facts. It was nicely paced and our guide, Gunta was informative and entertaining!
We were looking for a smaller group walking tour and this one was perfect. Turned out to be only 3 of us, guided by Gunta, who was excellent. She took time to explain the history and and provided the color and experience that only a native could. Riga is a beautiful city with a picturesque old town. Sure you could walk around and see the sites … but you only get the background and insights from a guide like Gunta. Thanks for a great tour!
