Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Got a text indicating our tour was moved 30 minutes later at the same meeting point. I confirmed I received the message and we would see them at 11. We got to the meeting point at 10:50 and stood around until 11:20. The entire time we were looking for anyone with a sign and there was no one. I attempted to text the number that had texted me this morning, no response. I tried to call the number associated, it went straight to voicemail. Tried to message through the Viator app, received no response and of course it’s too late for a refund or to cancel even though THEY moved the time and then the tour guide never showed! So disappointed. Do not recommend and do not book.
Hello. Unfoetunatelly, you apparently stood at the wrong place. We had 25 people for the tour. They all showed up, guide greeted them, started introduction and left the meeting point at 11.10 with the whole group. The fact that tour has changed time from 10.30 to 11.00 did not play any role, as for that purpose guide was at the meeting point already at 10.30 to meet all earlier arrivers. We kindly ask our future customers to google meeting point by using Google maps, not your travel platform, as apparently it can bring you to the wrong place. Especially, we have noticed this to happen for American travellers. We, of course, are sorry you did not find the right meeting point and could not join the tour, every one else joined. :-(
It was great, we saw a lot of the city.
The tour was booked for 13 people, 5 at 1030 and 8 at 1100. Our guide, Yvetta, did not seem to believe the 1030 time until shown the tickets because that was not what her boss told her. Her presentation was informative and interesting, however, no consideration was offered for the group’s personal needs (restrooms, drinks) and despite repeated prompts, left us late for a follow-on commitment.
An enjoyable walking tour (despite the rain) with a knowledge tour guide that lasted just under 2 hours. It gave us a good overview of the old town of Riga. Would recommend.
Kristina is super friendly and knowledgeable about the old town. She brought us to the major places to see, gave us tips on where to go, and provided snacks in the middle of the walk. It was fun retracting the paths and exploring on our own afterwards. She took good care of us when there were handphone alerts. Recommended as a starter when in Vilnius!
Wonderful city with very nice architecture and great shops. Very romantic place
A nice walking tour. The lady guided with giving a lot of interesting facts, not present in Internet. I highly recommend the event.
Excellent, knowledgeable tour guide. Both of history and modern political landscape. I think his name was Karlo
Guide was very knowledgeable and made the talk interesting . She was obviously very learned in Latvian history and culture
Gita was very informative of the history and culture of Riga and Latvia. I learned so much and got to see so many landmarks. I was keen to see the famous art nouveau buildings and Gita pointed out a lot of them and explained the history. I also appreciated her recommendations of the top 3 items to buy as souvenirs. And I liked how she asked at the beginning what we were looking forward to seeing in Riga and again at the end what our biggest impression was of Riga.
