Itinerary
From the pier (or your selected starting point) we drive to the Medieval City (World Heritage Site) where you can get your pictures from outside of the most important Gates. A) According to a new traffic regulation no cars enter the Old Town, only pedestrians. We can finish the tour later at a gate of the Old Town, so you can visit it on your own and walk back to the ship. From the Medieval City to the Cruise Port is 5min flat walk. This way you save time and money, as you don’t have to pay the driver (waiting-time) B) No stress, our knowledgeable drivers can show you how to walk via the Old Town back to the ship (just talk to your driver)
We continue to the Historical Buildings and visit the Mandraki Old Harbor where according to the tradition, the Colossus of Rhodes once stood - One of the seven wonders of the ancient world. At the entrance of the old harbor, atop tall columns, stand the two bronze deer - characteristic landmarks of the island. We can help with your pictures with background the deer, one of the many significant landmarks of Rhodes
Close to the entrance of the Old Port is the Church of the Annunciation that houses amazing gothic wall paintings by Fotis Kontoglou and impressive chandeliers. Today it is the town’s cathedral
We drive to Monte Smith Hill (Acropolis of Rhodes Town) on the way you see the North Point of the Island where the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea meet. Once we reach the Acropolis (with the car no climb) we stop at a vantage point for a 360 Panoramic View of Rhodes Town and both East and West Coast - Scenic. We continue for photos from a distance of the Temple of Apollo, and the Ancient Stadium.
After finishing with the Highlights of Rhodes Town we drive 32 miles (50km) South East of the Island to Lindos - On the way you visit the Anthony Quinn Bay - Scenic IMPORTANT NOTE: On very busy days, Anthony Quinn Bay may become extremely crowded, making it difficult or even impossible for vehicles to access or exit the area due to the high number of parked cars. To avoid losing valuable tour time, we may replace the visit to Anthony Quinn Bay with a brief photo stop (on the way back) at Kallithea Viewpoint instead (please note: we will not enter Kallithea Springs). This adjustment allows us to maintain the overall quality and schedule of the tour while still offering a beautiful scenic stop.
On the way back, you can choose an optional short stop at a pottery workshop where the traditional pottery of Rhodes is made. You can see the wonderful pieces of art, and watch the potter Giannis (Giovani) working at his wheel. You can even learn the mystery of the Pythagorean cup!
One mile before Lindos we stop at a vantage point for a panoramic picture of the Acropolis, the Village, and the Port of Lindos - Scenic Then we drive into the Village at the main square so you can: Option A) To walk the alleys of Lindos and climb up the 292 steps to Acropolis Option B) Just explore the white village, walk the alleys of Lindos (not climb up to acropolis) Your driver can show you the acropolis from vantage points , and get your photos from a distance. This way you skip the crowds, save time, and have more time to explore the White Village You have one hour to spend in Lindos (village and Acropolis) In case you need more time please let us know on time of booking so we can modify the tour to your needs
Walk through Lindos Village and up the many steps and uphill pathways to the summit of the Acropolis to see the magnificent remains of past civilizations and enjoy the 360 panoramic view. You have 30 min for the Acropolis. Total Time in Lindos is one hour. In case you need more time, please let us know, so we can modify the tour. (You can skip the 292 steps to Acropolis if you prefer) LINDOS ACROPOLIS E-TICKET SYSTEM At Lindos Acropolis, entry is restricted to specific time slots covered by the e-ticket system. Typically, visitors reach Lindos village approximately 2.5 hours after the tour begins, with an additional 15-minute ascent to the acropolis. You can buy online in advance, or few hours before your visit, or once you are in Lindos village before ascending to the acropolis The tickets are non-refundable
Later we meet you at the main square of Lindos Village and drive you down to the Saint Paul's bay, where the Apostle is said to have landed in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. From this point you can also view the cave where the film “The Guns of Navarone” was filmed - Wild Nature Landscape
On the way back the last 14km / 8 miles we drive via the coastal road of Faliraki and Kallithea. Faliraki open only during the summer season, its only purpose is to provide its visitors a vacation that they will not forget. The beaches are primarily sand and the waters are crystal clear, smooth as glass.
We continue back to Rhodes Town and pass via Kallithea. In this naturally landscaped setting, the film "Escape to Athena" with Telly Savalas and Roger Moore was filmed. Some scenes from the film "The Guns of Navarone" were also filmed here too. Back to Rhodes Old City for independent browsing, or to the ship (or to your hotel). My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic private tour of Rhodes with Michael, and we cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel until he dropped us off at the end of the day, everything was exceptional. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and has a remarkable ability to bring the history, culture, and traditions of Rhodes to life. Throughout the tour, he shared fascinating stories and insights that you simply would not get from a guidebook. He took us to all the must-see sights as well as some breathtaking viewpoints and local gems that made the experience truly special. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, and it was clear that he wanted us to experience the very best that Rhodes has to offer. Michael’s English is flawless, and he is warm, engaging, kind, and easygoing. What impressed us most was his genuine passion for Rhodes and his obvious love for what he does. He made us feel welcome from the very beginning and tailored the day to our interests, creating a tour that felt both personal and unforgettable. If you are visiting Rhodes and want an outstanding guide who is knowledgeable, professional, personable, and passionate, look no further than Michael. This was one of the best private tours we have ever taken anywhere in the world. We would absolutely book with him again on a future visit and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who wants to experience the very best of Rhodes. Thank you, Michael, for an amazing day and memories we will cherish for years to come!

Our tour guide George was very informative about beautiful Rhodes and Lindos (not many stores open in Lindos as this is off season and we didn’t feel like walking up to the acropolis). So many beautiful pictures were taken along the way as we were able to stop and take in the vistas. The Mercedes van for the 4 of us was super clean. A very enjoyable time was had by all.
