Unfortunately did not get an opportunity fulfil this booking. The guide company canceled my booking advising that they needed 2 persons in order to go ahead. The Viator website for this tour states 'minimum one person' and accepted a booking with only one person. Very disappointing and a waste of time when I could have booked with a more reliable supplier.
We ended up with a private tour today with MK and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide and ambassador for South Africa and the animals! We were within 6 feet of some amazing lions and zebras along with wildebeasts, wild dogs, antelopes, ostriches, rhinos, impalas, springbok all in the park running somewhat free and the leopards and panthers which were unfortunately caged . It was an hour drive from Johannesburg but well worth it. Thank you MK for a great day.
Thank you
We did the Lion and Rhino Park tour, and Daniel Clements was our driver. We had a wonderful time, and Daniel was a great driver! Transportation was clean, safe, and efficient. They had a place where you could charge your phone if you had a usb-c, which was nice. 10/10 experience! We didn't feel rushed when we stopped for lunch. He also gave us fun facts while driving to our destination, and we were able to see Nelson Mandela's home. Highly recommend using them for large groups.
Thank you
What a rip-off this was. Very nice person at pick up spot, and on time. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the location of our safari, the reserve was closed for some obscure reason. Our driver called his boss, and we proposed another "safari" 15 minutes away. This place was a total scam. Animals in enclosure sleeping. It was more sad for the animals than anything else. One-hour tour instead of three. No food or drink was proposed, although it was in our reservation. WHAT A RIP OFF
Food is not included in this tour, You have proposed to go to lion safari park and we did exactly that. You asked to hope in the truck instead of self drive and we gave you all you requested. Is our apology you are not happy after all.
This is was a fantastic experience. Donald was our guide - he made the visit funny and memorable, taking time to share interesting facts about the animals and the environment.
Thank you
Literally couldn't have gotten any closer to the lions (on several occasions) and rhinos (the guide had to move the truck when one got a bit too close. We saw three cheetah, spring box, antelope, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, ostrich , and so much more. Great facility and good food options at the restaurant. Well worth the short drive from Johannesburg, but note, this isn't an actual safari but rather a curated drive through several separate, gated compounds that the predators from each other. The predators are fed so they don't have to hunt for themselves and the other animals get hay supplements that ensure they bunch together for easy viewing.
Thank you
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He knew where to find all the animals we wanted to see. I learned new things from him that I had not known before. It really was an amazing experience and one that I will treasure and recommend to others.
Thank you
A fantastic tour. Highly recommended if you are busy for time and I was lucky enough to have a great guide called Phillip who gave me such a great tour truly memorable
Thank you
Included a pickup from my Sandton hotel. I expected a group, but it turned out that I was the only customer at that starting time, so I was taken there with a private quide in a passenger car. Guide/driver MK was friendly and knowledgeable. During game drive I saw many instances of lions and ostrichs at a very close proximity for long periods of time, at least zebras, springbocks, wildebeests, impalas, wild dogs, and wild pigs at a close proximity, and a buffalo, an eland, and rhinos from longer distance. There was also a small zoo with leopards and the other main big cats, reptiles, and pygmy hippos, and we spent about half an hour there. It was also possible to hold a big snake (not sure if it is always possible there). I recorded about short 50 video clips and took pictures.
We thank you for the reviews much appreciated. You never mentioned the lion mating
This company Virgio Tours are con artist who tried to switch the tour from guided on a Rhino and Lion Park vehicle to self-guided because their driver did not arrive on time to make it to the guided tour. The company then lied to Viator to prevent us from receiving our full refund. I would never recommend this company for a tour. Spend your money elsewhere these folks are con artists and liars.
The tour packages and itinerary says is guided game drive which means we guide you to the park with our trained safari guide! You information are incorrect however we welcome honest reviews
