Brian was an AMAZING guide. The tour was exceptional. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and professional . He wasn't just a guide that gave information, his heart was in it and it showed with his enthusiasm and care for us. THANK YOU
Our driver/tour director did a great job for us. Our timing was a little off, through no one's fault, and he kindly accommodated us, essentially giving us a private tour. He taught us about the history of the area, the people who suffered through apartheid, and those who still are working for a better life. We saw and heard a lot, and highly recommend this tour. Thank you!
This tour is excellent! We were taken care of from pick up to drop off. I learned so much history. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the visit to the Apartheid Museum was exceptional.
This was a great tour. Very informative. Griffith, our driver and guide, was great. We covered a lot in Soweto and the Apartheid Museum. Entrance fees to museum and Mandela house were included which was a bonus.
Brian was a great guide and had plenty of knowledge, clear instructions around the itinerary and some jokes too. Sadly I did not realise the Apartheid Museum is closed every Monday so we will not able to visit but instead went to Constitution Hill which was very interesting.
Great tour with a lot of history, with great guide
Our tour guide, Lebo, was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions along the way. Lebo offered current information about the dynamics of Johannesburg and the complex history of the city. For the Apartheid museum, two hours are allotted, and since we finished with 30 minutes to spare, Lebo was patiently waiting for us, which worked out nicely. Lebo asked if there were any specific places we wanted pictures, or where we wanted to be dropped off after the tour, which we said Mandela Square. This day was full of history and half a day was just right.
Informative must-do tour when visiting Johannesburg
This was a great experience with my 2 friends and I. Sometimes, doing a half day is just what you need. We were able to cover a lot, our driver Brien was really knowledgeable, kind, and was always there to assists with photos. Along with giving us history as we drove. Van was clean and there was plenty of water. Didn't feel too rushed during the tour. Soweto, Pieterson Memorial Place, Nelson Mandela House, Apartheid Museum, bonus, we were first to be picked up, so he gave us a tour of the other areas as we picked up other passengers. We even had guides at Mandela's house AND Apartheid Museum. For sure, a must do while visiting Joburg.
This was a great tour and all things were as described. You even have the opportunity to go into a Soweto development and meet some of the people and see the life they live. The tour guide stops at a few special spots to take photos of the individuals on the tour (if you want them). I also enjoyed the museum visits. As a solo woman, I felt safe on this tour.
