After about 1 hour drive you will reach the highlight of this day, the magnificent medieval Laufen Castle overlooking the Rhine Falls. Today the castle serves as a tourist attraction and contains a restaurant. From the castle, a footpath leads you to several viewpoints near the Rhine Falls. After walking through the beautiful town, we reach the St. Georgen monastery on the banks of the Rhine, a former Benedictine abbey with a museum.
The medieval Hohenklingen Castle stands on a hill above the town. We will visit the old castle and enjoy the wonderful view over the region, the medieval town Stein am Rhein and lake of Constance.
