The Red valley is hidden gem very close to the rainbow Mountain and not crowded with people. the enviroment it just looks like other planet, all the soil mountains and hills around are red with lots of llamas ans alpacas around! This amazing place is located at 4800 metters over the sea level. The color comes from minerals that we have on the Andes from millions of year ago.
The rainbow mountain is a natural range of mountains located in Peru with almost 7 different colors that comes from the minerals that we have on the Andes. to arrive to this place we have to pass by some small andean towns where we sitll have native people farming over the 4700 mettres over the sea level

Some friends advised us about the red valley, we were thinking about it and finally decided to visit it along our tour to the rainbow mountain. This place is an other planet! We hiked on our way back from the rainbow mountain and saw all the red soil along the valley with amazing views of the mountains and a lot of llamas and alpacas along the way. On the rainbow mountain part we saw a lot of people hiking, but on the red valley we were only a few ones, we felt lucky because not all people is along the red valley. We higly recommend to visit the red valley while you go to the rainbow mountain.
