Did the horseback ride with 2 kids that are 8 and one 12 year old and we had a great time. I wasn't sure the 8 year olds would be ready for the waterfall repelling so chose this one. Everyone, especially the kids loved it. The kids fell in love with their horses and they were extremely well trained so the little ones did not have to worry too much about doing it right. they didn't rush us at all and we enjoyed plenty of time at the waterfall, taking pictures and wading in the water. It was dry season when we went so crossing the rivers was more like small streams but i imagine during wet season their would be more water. Really beautiful jungle on the way in and out- they do like a loop so you don't come back the same way you went in and therefore get to see even more. There was not a lot of "tour" in terms of pointing out nature but we saw plenty of birds just by looking around.
The hike does not reflect what is shown in the Viator announcement. So two hours of hiking on a regular trail is not worth the price. And the day before he moved our departure time, very ordinary because we have no choice
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that our tours are delivered exactly as described on Viator. The experience takes place within our private 350-hectare property, featuring both primary and secondary forest, offering a natural and authentic environment. During the tour, guests also visit the beautiful El Encanto waterfall, which is an important part of the experience. Your reservation was originally scheduled for 11:00 am. However, we recommended starting at 9:00 am due to the warmer summer temperatures, as this earlier time allows guests to enjoy the tour more comfortably. While we always suggest what we believe will provide the best experience, the intention is never to inconvenience our guests. Many of our visitors truly enjoy the scenery and the full two-hour horseback riding experience, appreciating the nature and surroundings throughout the tour. We appreciate your visit and your comments.
The guides were very nice and helpful. Water would have been nice as it was so hot out - should have been offered before the ride and also at the waterfall. All in all, we had a great time. Transportation to and from could have been nicer. The cars were rather small for 6 people.
Thank you for your review. We will take your suggestions into consideration. We hope that you come back to enjoy our new and exciting attraction planned for 2025. Happy and safe travels.
Beautiful and relaxing tour through the forest. Our guides were amazing. I would recommend purchasing lunch through them. It was fantastic!
Not worth the money. Horses unkept, my horse had only one shoe on and stumbled constantly. Nice guide but the entire property needs updating, and the falls area was not impressive. No “Magical Rain Forest” here.

Luis ,Elena, and Jackson were so helpful for helping us Get acquainted with horses before our trip. My husband and I have not been on horses much maybe once or twice in our whole life! Our grandkids loved this event the most. Since she is good at riding horses he let our 12 year old grand daughter race to the stables at the end of the ride. She smiled all night, Those 3 staff went above and beyond with our horse ride. I highly recommend them when you book with this company
Great host and activities. Very kind personnel. Highly recommended. Had drinks on sight. Restrooms as well.
Beautiful ride in the rainforest and along a river. Our guides Andres and Ricardo were great. Andres was very knowledgeable about the trees and plants and pointed them out as we rode. Stopped at a pretty waterfall before continuing on our ride. We were accompanied by Lassie the very professional tour guide who made sure we and the horses were moving along in the right direction and pace ! Highly recommend Ocean Ranch!
Our tour was great! We saw lots of cool butterflies, some iguanas, a snake, toucan, and a monkey. It was an 8am tour so the heat wasn’t unbearable. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The waterfall was also beautiful.
Disappointed. Horses were thin, hooves overdue for a trim, my horse was lame. I am an experienced horse owner, trainer, and rider. The ride was mostly along a dry river and a field, to a small waterfall. I was sad more than pleased. Only positive thing was one guide who was working on his English and conversed alot with me to work on improving it.
