Itinerary
We start our tour by picking up the travelers.
Our first stop will be at the spectacular Colonial Bridge of Checaupé. Built in the seventeenth century, its structure is lime and song, it forms a semicircular arch, mounted on its solid walls of natural rocks.
The Cordillera Rainbow of Palccoyo is the first sister of the famous mountain of the seven colors "Vinicunca" but with better accessibility. Its more than nine thousand natural hectares have a color similar to the rainbow, which gives it a cheerful and at the same time mystical atmosphere. In addition, in this tour in addition to appreciating this geological beauty, we will visit other sites that will make this trip an unforgettable experience.
At this stop, we will appreciate a curious "Forest of Stones" which is composed of rocky peaks formed naturally by rain and wind.
This is our last stop. Here we will enjoy lunch. Typical Peruvian food.

We booked the 7 am tour for our family with an English guide. Reached out to this operator to confirm our tour a few days ahead of time; No response. With less than 24 hours to go I reached out to Viator, who said they would attempt to reach the operator but that I should use the contact info provided with the booking if it was urgent. There was no contact info provided. Finally, at 5:45 pm, the night before our scheduled pick up of 7 am, I was contacted via WhatsApp and told we had been moved to a 5 am tour and would be picked up sometime between 4:05 am and 4:20 am. As we were still traveling back to our hotel when I was contacted, I told them there’s no way we would be able to make a 4 am pick up and clarified we booked and paid for a 7 am tour. They responded “ We understand. Our 7:00 a.m. departure has been canceled. Because we don't have a group of at least 10 people for the 7:00 a.m. departure.” Why didn’t they reach out to say such when I attempted to contact them several days before? Why didn’t they wait until there was less than 12 hours to tell us our pick up time was moved from 7 am to 4:05 am? I told them we wouldn’t be able to make it and asked for a refund. After another hour, the tour operator finally responded saying the 7 am tour was back on, but the four if us are now going to spend the three hour one way journey in a small personal car. The driver who eventually did arrive spoke zero English, despite us booking with an English guide. Even better, we were informed we would need to pay for entrance into the park despite the fee being included with the 5 booking! I would not recommend this particular vendor and Viator would do well to never contract with them again. Very disorganized and poor customer service.
Edson was our tour guide. He was amazing. He explained everything along the way and was very involved with making sure we were having a great time. Wow the mountain looks very similar to the pictures. Not quite as vibrant but unreal like nothing I have seen before
Was not quite sure if this would be a good option to do as I felt quite sick of the higher altitude. I spoke to Karen and she convinced me for this. Yes, she was right, they took a great care of me. The guide was very friendly and helpful. The hike wasn´t tough as we drove almost to the top. It was nice to see and interact with local people too. Just go with Machu Picchu Peru Cusco, they are the best.
