Hotel Pickup in Cusco Begin your day with an early pickup from your hotel in central Cusco by Palcoyo Tours. Meet your guide and fellow travelers as you board a comfortable tourist vehicle.
Drive to Cusipata Travel through scenic Andean landscapes toward the town of Cusipata. Along the way, enjoy views of terraced farmlands, herds of llamas and alpacas, and traditional villages just waking up.
Breakfast in Cusipata Arrive in Cusipata and enjoy a hearty local breakfast to fuel up for the day’s trek. This is also a good time to acclimate and prepare for the higher altitudes. Drive to Phullawasipata Trailhead: Continue by vehicle to Phullawasipata, the starting point of the hike, located at 4,600 meters above sea level. Get a safety briefing and start gearing up.
Hike to Rainbow Mountain Begin the trek to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain). The hike is approximately 7 kilometers round trip and takes you from 4,600 meters to a breathtaking 5,100 meters. Along the way, pass through high Andean landscapes with views of snow capped peaks, colorful hills, and wildlife. Optional horse rental is available for those who prefer not to hike the entire way. Arrive at Rainbow Mountain Summit Reach the summit and take in spectacular panoramic views of the iconic striped mountain and surrounding peaks. Take photos, rest, and enjoy the high-altitude experience.
Descent and Return to Phullawasipata: Begin your descent along the same trail, heading back to the trailhead where your transport will be waiting. Lunch in Cusipata: Return to Cusipata and enjoy a buffet lunch with a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes, including vegetarian options.
Drive Back to Cusco: Relax and enjoy the scenic ride back to the city. Arrive in Cusco and be dropped off at your hotel or a central location, concluding your unforgettable day trip.

I want to be honest, I'm not a hikker person but I wanted to visit such a beautiful place, and the people of this tour was full of good energy, they are young and also have experience when the trekking turns difficult (Andean is so high). I'm grateful with them, I will return and chose them.

Trekking in Palcoyo was the best decision of my trip to Peru. Unlike other routes, here you see three different mountains with colored stripes. The agency included blankets in the mobility for the morning chill and the buffet lunch at the end was first level.

Taking the day tour to Vinicunca was a simply spectacular experience. From the beginning everything was very well organized, which allowed to enjoy the trip with tranquility and confidence at all times. The hike is demanding for the height, but it is very well done if you move at an adequate pace. During the tour I always felt accompanied and well guided, with clear explanations and friendly treatment that made the experience much more pleasant.
