Frustratingly badly organised! On booking the meeting place was given as the Museum of Islamic Art, what wasn’t made clear was that we were being picked up by a driver (who originally went to the wrong museum), to be driven a short distance away we could’ve walked to more quickly. When we did arrive there was much confusion about payment to the boat driver that meant we were 45 minutes late even getting on the boat and had missed sunset. The boat trip itself was good, and enjoyed by all, just wish it hadn’t been so much hassle getting to that point! I’d suggest the company are clearer about the pick up arrangements, and being met near the boat by someone with a sign for the tour would’ve been a lot easier.
Amazing dhow cruise experience in Doha! Stunning views of the city skyline, peaceful atmosphere, and very friendly staff. The traditional dhow ride was smooth and relaxing, making it a perfect way to enjoy Doha from the water. Highly recommended!
We completed the hour tour of the Doha Harbour taking in the city skyline on a traditional Dhow tonight. To this point, without doubt, the highlight of a wonderful short stay in Doha and something not to be missed. Our guide Kamil was exceptional. He was 15 minutes ahead of scheduled pick-up. Communicated to us well ahead. He had cold water for and was a willing photographer.😊 Thoroughly recommend. The wind was up and we were a little concerned but no need, the harbour is well protected.
Lovely quick tour of the Corniche and Doha skyline on a traditional Dhow. Majid, our guide was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable (and a great photographer). Would recommend for anyone who has a quick hour and wants an high yield cruise.
