The cave was cool. It's a long day for only 45 minutes in the cave. Very crowded tourist destination. Definitely worth the visit.
This day will be a huge exercise in testing your patience. The amount of waiting you have to do is pretty excessive. The 45 minute cave ride is wonderful but they took 90 minutes to pick people up. I was picked up at 7 AM and we picked up some other people at McDonald’s , waited for them to finish eating, and then drove them to their hotel so they could change into clothes because they had come from the airport. Then we get to the port terminal and we have to wait three hours for a boat to go to the underground cave. Peak season and long queues. Then you finally get to underground cave by boat and wait one hour for a smaller boat to go into the cave. That was a lot for me for a full day tour.
Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback about your Puerto Princesa Underground River tour experience. We truly appreciate you highlighting the beautiful cave experience. We sincerely apologize for the long waiting times you experienced. During peak season, especially for the Underground River which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, guest volume significantly increases. Which unfortunately results in longer queues at the port and holding areas. Regarding the extended pick-up time, we understand how frustrating that must have felt. As this is a joiner/shared tour, pick-ups are done across multiple hotels following a set route. We are glad to hear that despite the delays, you found the 45-minute cave ride wonderful. It truly is one of Palawan’s most remarkable natural treasures. Your feedback is very important to us as it helps us improve our coordination and set clearer expectations, especially during peak travel periods. We hope to have another opportunity to serve you in the future, perhaps through a private tour option for a smoother and more flexible experience. Thank you again for your honest review.
Disapppinting that the wait time for the travel company was 2 hrs before getting picked up in the morning, and then when we reached the spot where the boat takes you to cave we were told wait time for this was also 2 hours. This tour needs to be better managed so people can experience it without having to wait around for so long. The caves were beautiful to look at glad we went. Wouldn't recommend taking children, with the waiting.
Hello Ms Elizabeth, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate it and are glad to know that you found the caves beautiful and were happy you were able to experience them. We sincerely apologize for the long waiting times you encountered during your tour. On the day of your trip, weather conditions were challenging, with stronger waves and winds expected from midday onwards. For everyone’s safety, all tours are strictly subject to clearance from the Coast Guard. Unfortunately, the advisory which is usually released around 5:00 AM was only given at 6:00 AM that day, as authorities needed additional time to monitor the weather conditions. We advised guests to prepare early because if the advisory had been released at the expected time, we would have proceeded to the Sabang wharf and dispatched boats as early as possible to avoid the stronger winds and waves expected from noon onwards. However, we are not allowed to start pick-ups or operations until official advisory is received. This situation was unpredictable and beyond our control, and we deeply apologize for the inconvenience and extended waiting time it caused. Your comments about tour management and waiting time, are well noted and will help us improve how we communicate and manage expectations during weather-related delays. Thank you again for your understanding and for sharing your experience. We truly value your feedback and hope for the opportunity to serve you better in the future.
Quick, efficient transportation and excellent communication regarding pick-up and drop-off options and timing. Delicious lunch buffet, opportunity to add on a zip line experience for 600 pesos or a mangrove education session—we did the zip line and loved it! The underground river is a cool and unique experience. I would recommend all of it!
Good tour. There was punctuality. The van to the boat was comfortable, the lunch was good and the cave experience with the underground river was very beautiful, worth seeing
Everything was hassle-free and well-coordinated. The guides were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our experience even more enjoyable. The cave is truly amazing! worth to visit Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely book with them again. 💯✨
Very good value, is a must do in Puerto Princesa. The underground river is a unique and very impressive site. Expensive is nice, guide is very informative and food is always good in Philippines.
