Private cruise to the best fjord near Bergen, the Modal Fjord. Experience Fjords and waterfalls, starting outside your hotel in Bergen. We start watching Bergen from the seaside with the backdrop of the mountains. Enjoy a glass of champagne or a cup of coffee while cruising the fjords, where the scenery and atmosphere shifts from city, to pristine fjord landscape and waterfalls. We get to the narrow remote fjords and villages with beautiful waterfalls, all year round. If it`s raining doesn`t matter, it makes the waterfalls more dramatic. We stop at a waterfall cascading down to the fjord, where you can have a waterfall-shower. We can dock in the village of Mo, where you can have lunch at the local cafe- and explore the village. Or have lunch onboard, enjoyed while cruising. Bring swimsuit if you like, and we stop for a swim near the waterfall, a once in a lifetime experience. Times are flexible. The evening cruise (6PM) will be faster, back around 11. Perfect rainy day tour.

Itinerary
We depart from Bergen city center, watching the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen from the seaside, with the beautiful backdrop of the seven mountains surrounding the city. Slowly cruising out the fjord, leaving the city behind. Start the cruise with a coffee or tea, and quiet atmosphere onboard our boat.
Passing the suburbs to Bergen on our way up the fjord, and we will reach this bridge where we pass under after about 1 hours cruising.
You get to the Osterfjord after 1 hour cruise. We pass under the Nordhordland Bridge, the world’s seventh longest pontoon bridge, and continue up the Osterfjord. Watch the landscape change from the low-lying coastal landscape of the coast to the deep fjords innermost in the Osterfjord, surrounded by majestic mountains and waterfalls. The busy city is now left behind, and replaced by nature.
Passing the old white church at Vike
Up in the end of the fjord, we reach the small and quiet town of Mo. We can stop for a swim in the fjord, maybe under the waterfall? Bring your swimsuit, we have towels and warm shower onboard. We can dock in the village of Mo for a break, where you can have lunch at the small local cafe and explore the village on your own. No other tours stop in Mo, so this is a great opportunity. Or we can enjoy lunch onboard the boat while cruising. Enjoy the quietness and nice nature during this full day cruise. As your host we will do our utmost to give you a memorable experience! Snacks and refreshments included onboard.

A charming little village, with guaranteed no other tourists, only us. We spend some time here, relax and enjoy the nature and waterfalls. Lunch in the local cafeteria can be arranged.
Return cruise to Bergen, where we usually speed up.
Back to Bergen. We are very flexible on the times, so you can chose if you want a full day experience with our boat, or just go fast to the fjords and back.
We now reach Mostraumen, a narrow and shallow channel we will pass on our way to the inner end of the fjord. Nice waterfalls, majestic mountains, narrow fjords. Possibility for waterfall shower. Great spectacular nature with high mountains, and waterfalls. We guarantee a lovely silence, you just have to enjoy it.

We usually meet outside the Tourist Information at Strandkaien 3, Fish Market. Very easy to find the boat. We are flexible, so we can also meet at other locations if that is easier for you. If you want us to meet you in the hotel lobby, just let us know. For more info, please see our web page.

Wonderful scenic excursion for our family group of 12 adults and a one year old baby. Perfect full day including a stop at a fabulous cafe in Mo for a delicious late lunch. Captain Svein was very knowledgeable, super accommodating and professional. We saw gorgeous water falls, great granite cliffs, lovely farms with black sheep in the lowlands between the cliffs. We loved every minute.

What a fantastic boat and captain. The fjords are gorgeous, of course. We loved the pace and comfort. Sven made it all about our wants, and was certain to make sure we checked all the boxes. Highlights were swimming in a sunny cove, and getting so close to a waterfall as to be sprayed and refreshed by it. Blankets, snacks and refreshments were provided and really contributed to the upscale luxury experience. Sven’s boat is a beautiful Princess 50. It is clean and maintained like new. Remember to bring layers of clothes, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be super warm at times, if it’s a sunny day. Bring your bathing suit as well for that awesome Nordic plunge experience. We are thinking of coming back for an extended multi-day cruise with See The Fjords. Thank you Sven.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with See the Fjords and captain Sven on a private cruise to Modalen. From start to finish, everything felt exclusive and well taken care of. We had amazing lunch onboard, from Fjellskål. The service was excellent, and the captain Sven was friendly, professional, and made us feel very welcome. The scenery was breathtaking, quiet fjords, steep mountains, and waterfalls everywhere. We even got to «shower» in a waterfall. It was a peaceful and personal experience, perfect. Everything was well organized by them, so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. Highly recommended!

Fantastic day cruise to the Modal Fjord. Great view in the fjords, with waterfalls and steep hills on both sides of the fjord. Good lunch onboard the boat as well, organized by the company See the Fjords.
A great day with Captain Tony on his boat, taking us from Bergen to the beautiful fjords. Tony served us good atmosphere from the first moment, and as we cruised up the fjord, he also added great view, mountains and many waterfalls. A great slow speed cruise, very relaxing. We had lunch in Modal at the cafe, with good food and great view to the nearest waterfall. No rush during our cruise, so we chose to be back in Bergen around 5:30. Positive: A great activity on a rainy day, the boat was perfect for this.
The cruise was amazing, scenic, and heavenly. It's the perfect way to see the Fjords, and you get to do it at your own pace. The Yatch is in superb condition and luxurious. Overall we strongly recommend it to everyone.
