My wife and I had a private walking tour with Maria to visit two of the castles in Sintra, and the experience was outstanding. Communication before the tour was excellent, making everything easy and stress-free. On our way to one of the castles, Maria mentioned that she had already arranged lunch reservations at a wonderful restaurant along the coast. Unfortunately, because of a food allergy, we needed to change plans. Maria quickly found an amazing alternative that was perfect for us. Her knowledge of Sintra and the surrounding area was exceptional, and she shared fascinating information throughout the day. We had an incredible time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and personable guide in Sintra
Great morning exploring Lisbon with John F. After meeting us at our hotel we started the tour walking through the old city of Lisbon. He explained the historical significance and made it especially interesting by including stories, explaining customs and introducing us to some of the unique flavors of Portugal. John F is super knowledgeable and fun. Our family is very grateful for the time with him today.
Matheus is a world class guide.. friendly, informative and a true expert of Lisbon history
Matheus was fantastic… friendly, informative and an expert on the history of Lisbon
John F was fantastic for our privat walking tour around Lisbon. He was very knowledgeable , with great detail and conversational. He was also very flexible with our timing and what/where we wanted to go. We are so glad to have started our time in Lisbon with John F — we have a greater appreciation of the area and the culture, provided first had by a first class guide and company.
Our tour guide, Claudia, was really excellent. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. She even follow dup with us on a couple of topics form our tour a couple of days later. She covered the best areas along with some off the beat spots. It was very enjoyable. We would highly recommend using her again.
Had a few foreign friends coming over to Lisbon and I wanted to show them the sights. Since I didn’t prepare anything I ended up booking this tour based on the great reviews and I was surely impressed. Even I, being from Lisbon and having this experience that typically is for tourists, learnt stuff about the landmarks that I didn’t know. The weather was amazing, the fact that it was a private tour was great because it allowed us to fire questions as we please and all my friends are coming back in a few months. Definitely recommend.
This walking tour was simply outstanding! Our guide, Miguel, had a depth of knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for the local culture making every moment memorable and fun! The private tour format ensured a personalized experience, with Miguel leading us to hidden gems and local favourites we wouldn't have discovered on our own. As a seasoned local guide, his insights enriched the tour, making it truly exceptional. If you want an authentic exploration of this city, this tour is a must!
This has probably been one of the best walking tours we’ve ever done with my family. Our guide Claudia was super professional and had extense knowledge of the city and all the spots we visited. Great attitude and also super friendly. The experience was full of locations that we would have not been able to find on our own and that defintely made it worth it. Logistics were great and had no issues whatsoever even considering that my family group is big (12) Big thanks to Clauda and Picta Travel team see you soon!
The tour was incredible, thank you for such amazing experience!!! Vasco was so well informed and explained so many things about lisbon, and always in a great mood :) since the tour is private, i felt we had much more attention. Additionally we visited some spots that i would never found on my own, i was blown away! Totally recommend it!! Hope to do another tour with Picta in the future!! Cheers, Antonio :)
