Stroll through the most interesting rooms such as the Gallery of Tapestries, and the Gallery of Maps. Be stunned by Michelangelo’s masterpiece inside the Sistine Chapel. Exiting the Vatican Museums, enter beautiful St. Peter’s Basilica, where the famous Baldachin by Bernini is located. End your tour in St. Peter’s Square, home to the famous Egyptian obelisk that was witness to the martyrdom of St. Peter and was central to Bernini’s design of the piazza. Due to recent Vatican safety measures, we can’t assure you will be able to get from Museums to the Basilica using the internal passage. If so the visit will end at the Vatican Museums main access.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements

The museums of the Vatican gave you a wonderful background to history of the church—How each Pope left his mark. Seeing the Sistine Chapel and visiting the Basilica were highlights. Glad we did skip the line! John knew all the shortcuts and gave us a great tour!
