Great guide, great experience, we had fabulous weather. With the drive. Need to plan for 8 plus hours with wait times.
Thank you, Kim, for your kind feedback! We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the experience, appreciated the guide, and were able to make the most of the fabulous weather. We hope to welcome you again with Keytours for another memorable day!
This was perhaps the best start to finish tour we have ever done. The vehicle was immaculate—complete with a clear roof to make the most of the Mountain views. Our guide was outstanding and so fun! He made sure we knew exactly where to go and even made lunch reservations for us at a fantastic restaurant. We loved every minute of this excursion!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Kristi! We are absolutely delighted to hear that this was one of the best start-to-finish tours you’ve ever experienced. It’s fantastic to know you enjoyed the immaculate vehicle — especially the panoramic roof to fully take in the stunning mountain views — it really does make the journey even more special. We’re also thrilled that your guide made such a positive impact on your day. Providing clear guidance, a fun atmosphere, and thoughtful touches like arranging lunch reservations are exactly the kind of details we strive for at Keytours. Thank you again for sharing your experience. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable excursion in the future!
Unable to go on the tour because of all activities being down on Mont Blanc. The night before our tour we were called by the local tour operator and were offered a trip to Glacier 3000 as an alternative. We were to be picked up at 0800 but the driver came at 0830 to inform us that the alternate trip to Glacier 3000 was no longer available because of the weather. The local tour company who operates the tours offered the day trip to Annecy which was a ride to the town and back home with a 1 hour guided tour that is on the Viator site for $96.42/pp. We paid $1181 for the 8 hour tour to the top of Mont Blanc with additional activities (which cost extra). We went to the tour company office and the ladies in the office confirmed that we would be refunded the difference. We were only refunded $498 (they actually emailed me to tell me they accidentally refunded $247 twice by accident). Viator will not refund the difference between the originally booked tour and the alternative tour claiming that we got some special non-advertised tour that was only $198 than our original tour. We were picked up at our hotel, we drove to the tour office, the guide drove us to Annecy and walked around with us for 20 minutes and then we left at 1230. And this was not a guided tour. He basically showed us where to go and where to avoid. The advertisement was for a 1 hour guided tour. This was a glorified Uber ride that they charged $661 for. I checked the Uber price and it was $177. And our guide used curse words the whole time by the way. Definitely Not professional and I'm glad my kids were not in the van with us.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that the weather conditions affected your experience — unfortunately, the Mont Blanc activities were fully closed for safety reasons, which is beyond our control. I would like to clarify that we contacted you the night before specifically to inform you of the closures and to offer you options, including the possibility to cancel for a full refund or to choose an alternative tour. We did our best to give you this information as early as possible so that you could make the decision that suited you. Regarding the alternative option: although Annecy is less expensive as a standard shared tour on Viator, in your case you participated in a private tour, which means that the main cost covers your private transportation and a private guide for the duration of the service. Even with a shorter itinerary, we still provided a private driver-guide, hotel pickup, exclusive vehicle use, and the guide’s time for the morning. These fixed costs remain the same regardless of the destination chosen. Best regards
We had an amazing day with the David from the Keytours team. He was very knowledgeable and planned our day beautifully. We enjoyed spending time on the peak as well as in Mont Blanc. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Assessment organization Keytours = disaster. Trip 25/12 private transport. I guess we'd forgotten. Called, texted and e-mailed for more than half an hour to no avail. Fortunately received help from our hotel = local number was answered. Picked up 1 hour later than planned. Unacceptable for yet a pricey excursion. Tip for others: call the organization the day before for confirmation that everything is in order.
Good morning, thank you for your review. You do receive confirmation before the tour. our office is open from 7 and all the tours starts around 8 so we don't understand how you could not reach us. It sounds that the driver guide made your day enjoyable. We hope you keep good memories of Chamonix Mont Blanc. Best regards
We booked a trip to Chamonix and climbed the Aiguille du Midi, we visited the small town and took the train to the glacier Mer de Glace. The trip lasted nearly 10 hours. We had David as guide. For us, he is the best guide we've ever had! He is a very warm person and, being a 'local', knows the region well and shared his knowledge. There was never a dull moment! We talked a lot, had lots of laughs and, also thanks to the excellent weather, had a fabulous climb to the top of the Aiguille ! The view over the valley, the Mont Blanc , Matterhorn and other mountain tops was breathtaking! We will certainly revisit the region and ask specifically for David to guide us again!
Dear guest, Thank youu for your feedback. We're thrilled to hear that you had such an amazing experience in Chamonix, and we're especially happy that David was able to make your trip memorable. We would love to welcome you back anytime, and we’ll be sure to have David ready to guide you on your next adventure. Looking forward to seeing you again in Chamonix! Kind regards
My husband and I booked the Private Transport to Chamonix with driver-guide. This was absolutely one of the best tours we have ever been on! Our guide was David. He was both professional and personable. He knew all the ins and outs of the area and helped us to get the most out of our experience. David picked us up at our hotel and then we drove to Chamonix. He had already booked our cable car tickets, so we did that first. We took the cable car up to Mont Blanc / Aiguille du Midi. David made sure we had the best view on the cable car ride up. There are actually 2 different cable cars and we had great views on both of them. Once we got to the top, David made sure we were doing okay due to the altitude. (He had given us pointers on how to adjust prior to going up). We walked around outside and took lots of pictures. Mont Blanc and the alps were so beautiful! David pointed out Matterhorn and various spots so we didn't miss anything while telling us the history. We even saw people who were hiking! Afterward we stopped at the café before heading back down. We had lunch at a local restaurant that David had suggested. The weather was nice so we sat outside. The food was great! Next we took the railway to Mer de Glace. David suggested we walk through the glacier first and then come back for pictures to avoid the crowds. The glacier was amazing! It's hard to believe how much it has melted. You can hear it melting as you walk through it. David was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us as we toured the area. I cannot say enough great things about David and this experience. We were lucky that we took the cable cars earlier in the day as it got windy and they closed in the afternoon. We are thankful that David had planned everything for us so we received the best experience. I highly recommend this tour and David. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he loves the area and his job. If we have a chance to return we would do this all over again!
Good morning, thank you so much for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed Chamonix, the Alps and majestic Mont Blanc, we will pass your message to David of course. We wish you a nice day!
The guide was outstanding in addition to looking like Kevin Bacon. Very enjoyable. Learned a lot and did a lot.
Good morning, thank you so much for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed the tour guide and the beautiful Alps mountain. We hope to see you back one day! Have a safe travel
There were different price points for various packages: Transportation only, driver (50-70 person busses) without guidance Hire a driver/guide and be in a small group Hire a driver/guide for a private transport We selected “Private Transport to Chamonix from Geneva with driver-guide.” This was a more expensive choice but proved well worth the price. Thomas from Keytours (Switzerland) was at our hotel front door early, had a professional appearance wearing a Keytours shirt, and had a clean vehicle waiting for us. We picked a 0730 meet to beat the rush, as most tour buses leave town after 0830. Thomas was an amazing guide. He had our tickets ready and a time slot for the cable car ride to minimize our waiting in line time. We avoided the longest lines and biggest crowds all morning, as he suggested what attractions and viewpoints to see in the most efficient order. He also helped us decide how much warn clothing to carry up the mountain, and where to get the best photos. He had water and sunscreen if we needed them and reminded us that sunglasses should be worn. We had plenty of free time in Chamonix after seeing Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace. The day was amazing, and it was a pleasure having Thomas as our guide. He had great stories and seemed to love his job. We would request him again if/when we go back! Some notes - check the weather before you go, and the attraction maintenance closure schedules. You need your passport. To maximize our sightseeing time, we did not select a restaurant-style lunch in our tour There are tons of food service options in town and on the mountain, both sit-down style and take-away. You need your ticket at several points for the attractions, so keep it handy. There are clean (free) public toilets: Chamonix – In town Aiguille du Midi – At the base of the cable car and the top Montenvers Mer de Glace – At the end of the train ride (but not after or at the glacier)
Good morning, thank you so much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed Chamonix Mont Blanc and its wonderful views. We will pass your message to Tom of course. We hope to see you soon again! Best regards
