Private Tour- Skadar lake NP, Cetinje, Lovćen NP - The beauty of old Montenegro

Description
This tour perfectly combines natural beauties and cultural heritage of “Old Montenegro”. This region offers an abundance of spectacular natural beauties, famous viewing points, and rare forests with two national parks almost crossing their boundaries… The lookout at Pavlova strana provides the most beautiful view on the Skadar Lake, while the lookout above Boka Bay is frequently mentioned as one of the loveliest in the world. In addition, there is a view from “Montenegrin Olimp” – Lovcen Mountain, which is a home to the one of the highest mausoleum in the world. On our way through national park Lovcen we won't miss the chance to take a stroll through an amazing beech forest, breathe deeply the air from a famous air spa at Ivanova Korita. On our way back from the mountain we will go through the known village of Njegusi, and in the oldest cafe in the Montenegro we recommend you to taste far-known cheese & smoked ham. Very much recommended is boat ride down meanders of Crnojevica river

Itinerary
Just 15 minutes away from Podgorica by car there is a on the most famous Montenegrin view points providing spectacular view on meanders of the river of Crnojevici and Skadar Lake, biggest lake in Balkans. We will visit old fisherman settlement Rijeka Crnojevica, have a little walk by old bridge , enjoy tranquility of the lake area.
Mount Lovćen, or Montenegrin Olympus, is a cult area for most Montenegrins, declared a national park in 1952 due to its outstanding environmental values, cultural heritage, and biodiversity. We will enjoy walking through the beech forest, sightseeing and from one of the most beautiful view points in Montenegro we will enjoy the spectacular view of the Bay of Kotor.
Njegoš's mausoleum located on one of the mountain tops, at a height of 1667 m is the highest mausoleum in Europe. With a monumental appearance, it is dedicated to one of the rulers from the Petrović dynasty, known for his philosophical thought, poetry and wisdom. There are 461 steps to reach it. And from the plateau in front of the mausoleum, you can see a large part of the territory of Montenegro.
The most famous Montenegrin village is the cradle of the most important Montenegrin dynasty, Petrovići, and a place known for its prosciutto and cheese. Located in the immediate hinterland of the Bay of Kotor at an altitude of about 900 m, it is a real air spa and a place that has played a significant role in the history of Montenegro for centuries. It is known especially for the production of prosciutto and cheese, so we recommend a tasting in one of the traditional restaurants.
The old Montenegrin capital is a must-see for anyone who wants to get to know Montenegrin history better, the struggle for freedom and independence, and feel the spirit of Montenegrin tradition. We will walk through the historical center of Cetinje and visit some of the most important Montenegrin cultural and historical monuments.

I was only a few days in Montenegro, and I wanted to make them count. This tour did exactly that. The tour is very nicely balanced with a combination of natural, historical and urban sites. It was very comfortable and the guide Nino was amazing! With genuine interest for my interests and making sure that everything was well enjoyed he made this certainly one of the best tours I have been on! I 100% reccomend it.
Thank you Jelmer! It was great to spend the day with you. See you! Cheers!
We had the most amazing and fun time exploring Montenegro with Nino. From the visit to the Mausoleum to the monastery and every spot in between, it was just the right combo of history, culture, nature for us. Nino is a careful driver and we felt like we were visiting with a friend. Highly recommend!!
Thank you very much Silvia & Jeff! It was great pleasure to show you around and spend 2 days with you. All the best! Enjoy your traveling and living in Chattanooga! Cheers!
The scenery was breathtaking, the vue of the green mountains, rivers, lakes and old villages was stunning, the tour guide Nino was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, decent and cooperative, I certainly recommend this tour with Nino .
Thank you very much Abdulrahman! Wish you and your family all the best!
I had a fabulous day trip to several several attractions in one day in central Montenegro. The best part was the boat trip in Rijeka Crnojevića, which was spectacular because of the fabulous birds you can watch closely, including egrets, herons, cormorants and specially kingfishers. Cetinje is a well preserved city, with a serene atmosphere. The Cetinje monastery, where you can see beautiful icons and the right hand of St. John the Baptist, is specially worth visiting.
Thank you Charles! It was pleasure to meet you and to chat with you! All the best!
Lovcen NP. And also all of Cetinje. Would've liked to have visited Skadar Lake NP. But overall, excellent tour. My guide, Marko, was very informative. Enjoyed our conversations very much. He is extremely knowledgeable!
Thank you Roy! All the best!
Interesting tour which, apart from the mausoleum, is mostly to places which are of historical interest and away from the most popular tourist stops. Like the time spent wandering around Cetinje.
Thank you Peter. All the best!
I cannot describe with words how much we enjoyed this tour. Special thaks to Nino, our tour guide, he enthusiastically told us everything not just about the places we visited, but about the country and Montenegrin customs. He took us safely to all the beautiful places on this tour. These are places everyone should visit once a least :)
Thank you Juliana so much for being a great company:) All the best to you and your father!
Nino was so helpful and accommodating. We started the tour on time and we learned a lot of cultural information about Montenegro. Good value for money!
Thank you Maple. All the best to you and your family!
